Cryogenic Cover-Up Labels for Frozen Vials and Tubes
Labels
Blackout cryogenic labels for already frozen vials and tubes that conceal any existing label or information. These cryo block-out labels are perfect when removal of the existing label is impossible, and the stored sample (−196 °C) cannot be thawed prior to re-labeling (−80 °C) due to temperature sensitivity.

  • Temperature range: −196 to +100 °C (−321 to +212 °F)
  • Labels can adhere to already frozen vials (as low as −80 °C)
  • Ideal for long-term storage in cryogenic conditions (−196 °C)
  • Unique opaque design allows the labels to obscure all pre-existing information

Blackout labels are designed for applying to already frozen vials and tubes and serve to conceal existing information. Ideal for re-labeling frozen vials when removal of the existing label is not possible. These labels will completely obscure the existing label and block-out the information underneath.

The re-labeled frozen vials can be stored back inside liquid nitrogen (−196 °C/−321 °F) or a freezer for long-term preservation. On vials and tubes, it is recommended that labels are applied with an overlap of at least 0.25" to ensure proper adherence to the frozen surface.
