Shakers are equipped with the exclusive Accu-Drive™ shaking system, which delivers exceptional speed control, accuracy, and durability.

Touchpad controls with easy-to-read, independent LEDs for speed and time allow users to view all settings simultaneously. The timer will display elapsed time or will shut off unit when programmed to user defined limit. Display will show the last settings even after power has been turned off. A built-in load sensor detects unbalanced conditions and automatically reduces rpm to a safe speed or stops the unit to protect samples. An audible alarm will sound in timed mode operation when timer reaches zero. Shakers can be run in cold rooms, incubators, and CO₂ environments from −10 to +60 °C (−14 to +140 °F). Two-way communication for data logging and unit control is provided by an RS-232 serial port.

Shakers can accommodate two stainless steel platform options. The universal platform is suitable for mounting flask clamps and test tube racks. The large vessel carrier features high side walls, and is ideal for use with carboys and large bottles. Flask clamps are available in either stainless steel or PVC styles. Media bottle clamps and microplate clamps are constructed of stainless steel. Pivoting test tube racks feature stainless steel construction. Standard test tube racks feature a PVC-coated steel construction. Both rack styles come with hardware for easy attachment to platforms.

The system continuously monitors shaking speed and maintains set point even under changing loads. A ramping feature slowly increases speed to the desired setpoint to avoid splashing or sample loss. Displayed speed is accurate to 1% of setting. The variable sp
