Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Cell permeable, non-selective broad-spectrum caspase inhibitor. Binds irreversibly to the catalytic site of caspase proteases. The peptide is O-methylated in the P1 position on aspartic acid, providing enhanced stability and increased cell permeability. Inhibits ICE-family protease/caspase processing, leading to apoptosis and autophagy induction. Decreases proteasome activity. Potent inhibitor of caspase-1 activation in NLRP3/NALP3-induced cells. Used in apoptosis and inflammasome studies.

Description:   ARD1B, also named as NAA11 and ARD2, belongs to the acetyltransferase family and ARD1 subfamily. In complex with NAA15, ARD1B displays alpha (N-terminal) acetyltransferase activity. It is tissue-specific and is epigenetically regulated by DNA methylation.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   GAS Antibody: Steroid receptor co-activators (SRCs) were initially described as nuclear receptor transcription co-activators, but they have recently been determined to co-regulate transcription initiated by other transcription factors. GAS is a recently identified glutamate-rich protein that interacts with SRC1, but not GRIP1 or AIB1, the other two members of the SRC family. GAS can also interact with the alpha subunit of the estrogen receptor (ERalpha), but not other receptors such as the retinoic acid receptor a, suggesting the interaction between GAS and ERalpha is relatively specific. Depletion of GAS by RNA interference in MCF7 cells led to a decrease in the mRNA and protein levels of ER target genes such as pS2, c-Myc and cyclin D1, indicating the role of GAS in the regulation of ER target genes. GAS has also been found to associate with an SET1-like methyltransferase complex specific for H3K4 methylation, suggesting that GAS has multiple roles in transcriptional regulation.

Description:   Cell-permeable non-fluorescent reactive oxygen species (ROS) indicator. Passively diffuses across membranes where it is oxidized by peroxynitrite to rhodamine 123 which localizes in the mitochondria and exhibits green fluorescence (Ex/Em wavelengths of 500 and 536 nm). Used to investigate reactive oxygen intermediates produced by human and murine phagocytes, activated rat mast cells and cultured endothelial cells. In addition, it has been used together with Fura Red calcium indicator to simultaneously measure oxidative bursts and Ca2+ fluxes in monocytes and granulocytes. Dihydrorhodamine 123 has been shown to be a more sensitive probe than H2DCFDA for detecting granulocyte respiratory bursts.

Description:   As a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily, protocadherins are cadherin-like cell adhesion proteins that contain up to seven extracellular domains and are predominantly expressed in the nervous system. Importantly, the adhesion mechanism of protocadherins is distinct from classic cadherins. Through inactivation or overexpression, several protocadherins have been implicated in a variety of cancers. Protocadherin-20 (PCDH20), also known as protocadherin-13, is a 924 amino acid protein containing 6 cadherin domains and potentially functioning as a calcium-dependent cell-adhesion protein. In non-small cell lung cancer cell lines, a homozygous loss of PCDH20 was identified through either deletion of one allele and methylation of the other or methylation of both alleles. Hypermethylation of PCDH20 is associated with worse prognosis and clinical outcome, suggesting that PCDH20 may function as a tumor suppressor.
Supplier:  AAT BIOQUEST INC
Description:   Propidium iodide (PI) belongs to the same chemical class of ethidium bromide.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   GAMT is a methyltransferase which belongs to the class I-like SAM-binding methyltransferase superfamily. It contains one RMT2 (arginine N-methyltransferase 2-like) domain and is expressed in liver. GAMT converts guanidoacetate to creatine, using S-adenosylmethionine as the methyl donor. Defects in GAMT are the cause of guanidinoacetate methyltransferase deficiency, which is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by developmental delay/regression, mental retardation, severe disturbance of expressive and cognitive speech, intractable seizures and movement disturbances, severe depletion of creatine/phosphocreatine in the brain, and accumulation of guanidinoacetic acid in brain and body fluids.

Description:   Prenylation and methylation are two forms of protein modification, both of which are important for a variety of functions, including membrane attachment, protein-protein interactions and signaling events. NARF (nuclear prelamin A recognition factor), also known as IOP2, is a 456 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the NARF family. Expressed ubiquitously with highest expression in heart, skeletal muscle and brain, NARF binds to the C-terminal end of prenylated prelamin A and may be a member of a prelamin A-containing endoprotease complex. Additionally, via its association with prelamin A, NARF may be involved in heterochromatin organization. NARF is expressed as three isoforms due to alternative splicing events and, upon DNA damage, may be phosphorylated by ATM or ATR.

Description:   METTL11B is alpha-N-methyltransferase that methylates the N-terminus of target proteins containing the N-terminal motif [Ala/Pro/Ser]-Pro-Lys when the initiator Met is cleaved. Specifically catalyzes mono-, di-or tri-methylation of exposed alpha-amino group of Ala, Pro or Ser residue in the [Ala/Pro/Ser]-Pro-Lys motif (By similarity).
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   Dimethyl Sulfoxide is ideal for use as a cryoprotectant. Also used in chemical reactions, in polymerase chain reactions (PCR) as a PCR cosolvent to help improve yields, especially in long PCR, and as a cryoprotectant vitrification agent for the preservation of cells, tissues and organs. DMSO is used in cell freezing media to protect cells from ice crystal-induced mechanical injury. It is used for frozen storage of primary, sub-cultured, and recombinant heteroploid and hybridoma cell lines, embryonic stem cells (ESC), and hematopoietic stem cells. DMSO is frequently used in the combinations with BSA or fetal bovine serum (FBS). Used to enhance dermal absorption of many chemicals. A solvent for many organic and inorganic compounds including fats, carbohydrates, dyes, resins, and polymers. Used in antifreeze or hydraulic fluids. A cryopreservative for cell cultures. Used in the oxidation of thiols and disulfides to sulfonic acids.

Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) is a highly polar aprotic organic reagent that has exceptional solvent properties for organic and inorganic chemicals
