Description:
Subunit of clathrin-associated adaptor protein complex 1 that plays a role in protein sorting in the late-Golgi/trans-Golgi network (TGN) and/or endosomes. The AP complexes mediate both the recruitment of clathrin to membranes and the recognition of sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules.

Description:
Promotes cell-cell contacts by forming homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimers. Heterophilic interactions have been detected between PVRL1/nectin-1 and PVRL3/nectin-3 and between PVRL1/nectin-1 and PVRL4/nectin-4. Functions as an entry receptor for herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus. Has some neurite outgrowth-promoting activity.

Description:
Potassium phosphate is a reagent with high buffering capacity. It occurs in several forms: monobasic, dibasic and tribasic. Most pH neutral potassium phosphate buffer solutions consist of mixtures of the monobasic and dibasic forms to varying degrees, depending on the desired pH.

Description:
The CD28.2 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with the human 44 kDa homodimeric trans-membrane glycoprotein CD28, expressed on the surface of most mature T lymphocytes, plasma cells, and thymocytes. CD28 is a ligand for B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86), a co-stimulator of T lymphocytes, and enhances the interaction between T and B lymphocytes. It has been reported that the T lymphocytes stimulation to produce IL-2 depends on the monoclonal antibody involved, which suggests that the CD28 molecule presents some subregions with distinct functions. The CD28.2 antibody induces Ca2+ influx in Jurkat T lymphocytes. Other studies have shown that CD28 is involved in the signal transduction.

Description:
Nectin-2( CD112) is a member of the nectin family, which contains two Ig-like C2-type domains and one Ig-like V-type domain in the extracellular region. Nectins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins that are calcium-independent immunoglobulin (Ig)-like cell adhesion molecules (CAMs). Nectin2 is widely expressed in human tissues including brain, spinal cord, spleen, kidney, heart and liver. It can form trans-heterodimers with PVRL3/nectin-3 and interacts with CD226. Mutations of alleles of the murine CD112 gene can result in conditions such as morphologically aberrant spermatozoa. It may function in allergic reactions, and accordingly may used as a novel target for anti-allergic therapy.

Description:
Lysosome associated membrane proteins (LAMP1), also known as lgp120 or lgpA, is a type 1 integral membrane protein that is transported from trans-Golgi network to endosomes and then lysosomes. Upon cell activation, LAMP1 transfer to the plasma membrane is dependent on a carboxyl-terminal tyrosine based motif (YXXI). Perturbation in the spacing between the tyrosine based motif relative to the membrane abolishes lysosome localization of LAMP1. This mutant protein then cycles between the plasma membrane and the endosome. Cell surface LAMP1 and LAMP2 have been shown to promote adhesion of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) to vascular endothelium, therefore they are possibly involved in the adhesion of PBMC to the site of inflammation.

Description:
Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (EV) is an autosomal recessive dermatosis characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomaviruses (HPVs) and a high rate of progression to squamous cell carcinoma on sun-exposed skin. EV is caused by mutations in either of two adjacent genes, EVER1 and EVER2, located on chromosome 17q25.3. Both of these genes encode integral membrane proteins that localize to the endoplasmic reticulum and are predicted to form transmembrane channels. Both EVER1 and EVER2 are members of the transmembrane channel-like (TMC) protein family. EVER1 possesses eight trans-membrane domains and two leucine zipper motifs. EVER1 and EVER2 form a complex and interact with the zinc transporter 1 (ZnT-1), suggesting that EVER1 and EVER2 act to regulate cellular zinc balance.
