Rapid Enumeration of MicroorganismsWebinarFlow cytometry (FCM) has become a valuable tool in food microbiology. It has been developed to rapidly enumerate microorganisms, to distinguish between viable, metabolically-active and dead cells, which is of great importance in food development and food spoilage. Presented by: Joanna Śliwa-Dominiak Joanna Śliwa-Dominiak has a Ph.D. in biological sciences, specialising in microbiology from the University of Szczencinski where she studied bacteriophages found in the digestive system and their presence in the aquatic environment as indicators of faecal pollution. After her PhD she went on to lecture in microbiology and microbial genetics at the University of Szczencinski. Presented by: Katarzyna Sielatycka Katarzyna Sielatycka, has Ph.D., from Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin, where she studied in the field of adult stem cell biology and probiotic bacteria. After completing her studies, she conducted fellowship research at the Stem Cell Institute, University of Louisville, USA. Before returning back to Poland. |
