TRIM28 Antibody: TRIM28, also known as KAP-1, is a member of the Transcriptional Intermediary Factor 1 (TIF1) subfamily and contains a RING finger, B box, Coiled coil, PHD/TTC, and bromodomain. TRIM28 is a corepressor for Kruppel-associated box (KRAB)-domain-containing zinc finger proteins and plays a critical role in early embryogenesis. TRIM28 acts as a transcriptional mediator by binding liganded nuclear receptors, including retinoic acid (RAR), retinoid X (RXR) and estrogen (ER) receptors. TRIM28 associates with both heterochromatin and euchromatin, causing gene silencing by both HP1 binding and histone deacetylation.

Description:
Neuregulin/Heregulin is a family of structurally related polypeptide growth factors derived from alternatively spliced genes (NRG1, NRG2, NRG3 and NRG4). To date, there are over 14 soluble and transmembrane proteins derived from the NRG1 gene. Proteolytic processing of the extracellular domain of the transmembrane NRG1 isoforms release soluble growth factors. HRG1-β1 contains an Ig domain and an EGF-like domain that is necessary for direct binding to receptor tyrosine kinases erb3 and erb4. This binding induces erb3 and erb4 heterodimerization with erb2, stimulating intrinsic kinase activity, which leads to tyrosine phosphorylation. Although HRG1-β1 biological effects is still unclear, it has been found to promote motility and invasiveness of breast cancer cells which may also involve up-regulation of expression and function of the autocrine motility-promoting factor (AMF). Recombinant human Heregulin-β1 (HRG1-β1) is a 7.5 kDa polypeptide consisting of only the EGF domain of heregulin-β1 (65 amino acid residues).

Description:
C19orf21 is a 679 amino acid protein that is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 19. Chromosome 19 consists of approximately 63 million bases and makes up over 2% of human genomic DNA. Chromosome 19 includes a diversity of interesting genes and is recognized for having the greatest gene density of the human chromosomes. It is the genetic home for a number of immunoglobulin superfamily members including the killer cell and leukocyte Ig-like receptors, a number of ICAMs, the CEACAM and PSG family, and Fc receptors. Key genes for eye color and hair color also map to chromosome 19. Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, spinocerebellar ataxia type 6, the stroke disorder CADASIL, hypercholesterolemia and insulin-dependent diabetes have been linked to chromosome 19. Translocations with chromosome 19 and chromosome 14 can be seen in some lymphoproliferative disorders and typically involve the proto-oncogene BCL3.

Description:
GBE1 is a 702 amino acid protein that is expressed at high levels in muscle and liver and is involved in glycogen biosynthesis. Existing as a monomer, GBE1 catalyzes the transfer of alpha-1,4-linked glucosyl units from the outer end of a glycogen chain to an alpha-1,6 position on a neighboring glycogen chain and, via this catalytic activity, plays an essential role in glycogen accumulation. Defects in the gene encoding GBE1 are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 4 (GSD4) and adult polyglucosan body disease (APBD), the first of which is a metabolic disorder that is associated with the accumulation of polysaccharides and is characterized by liver disease during childhood. Unlike GSD4, APBD is a late-onset disorder that affects the central and peripheral nervous systems and is characterized by cognitive impairment, pyramidal tetraparesis and peripheral neuropathy.
