Catalog Number: (10802-604)

Supplier:  Rockland Immunochemical
Description:   The ectoderm-neural cortex-2 (ENC-2) protein a member of the BTB/PDZ Kelch protein family displaying significant homology to ENC-1, an actin-binding protein involved in neural fate specification during embryogenesis and adipocyte maturation. The exact function of ENC-2 has yet to be determined, but it has been suggested to be involved in the differentiation of neuronal precursor cells into neurons and astrocytes.
Catalog Number: (76010-306)

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family which is characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into 3 classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Fbws class and, in addition to an F-box, contains multiple WD40 repeats. This gene contains at least 14 exons, and its alternative splicing generates 3 transcript variants diverging at the presence/absence of two alternate exons.

Supplier:  AAT BIOQUEST INC
Description:   Covidyteâ„¢ EN450 is a peptide substrate containing 14 amino acid sequence (KTSAVLQSGFRKME) that can be cleaved by coronavirus proteases. The dark-FRET peptide contains Dabcyl (quencher) and Edans (donor) on the N-and C-terminals respectively where the fluorescence of Edans is effectively quenched by Dabcyl when the peptide is intact. When the peptide is hydrolyzed by coronavirus proteases, the Edans fragment generates significantly enhanced fluorescence since its fluorescence is no longer quenched by Dabcyl. The activity of coronavirus proteases can be effectively monitored by the fluorescence intensity of Edans. Covidyteâ„¢ EN450 is a convenient tool for screening inhibitors of coronavirus proteases.

Description:   Noggin belongs to a group of diffusible proteins that bind to ligands of the TGF-β family, and regulate their activity by inhibiting their access to signaling receptors. The interplay between TGF-β ligands and their natural antagonists has major biological significance during development processes, in which cellular response can vary considerably depending upon the local concentration of the signaling molecule. Noggin was originally identified as a BMP-4 antagonist whose action was critical for proper formation of the head and other dorsal structures. Consequently, noggin has been shown to modulate the activities of other BMPs including BMP-2,-7,-13, and -14. Targeted deletion of Noggin in mice results in prenatal death, and a recessive phenotype displaying a severely malformed skeletal system. Conversely, transgenic mice over-expressing noggin in mature osteoblasts display impaired osteoblastic differentiation, reduced bone formation, and severe osteoporosis. Recombinant Human Noggin is a 46 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of two 205 amino acid polypeptide chains. Monomeric glycosylated noggin migrates at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 28.0-33.0 kDa by SDS PAGE analysis under reducing conditions.

Catalog Number: (470235-796)

Supplier:  GSC International
Description:   No two liquids have exactly the same boiling point. Therefore it is possible to separate any mixture of two liquids by raising the temperature of the mixture to a point where one of the liquids will boil but the other will remain liquid.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   A key enzyme in glycogen degradation and metabolism, GANC (glucosidase, α neutral C) is a 914 amino acid protein with α-glucosidase activity that belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 31 family and hydrolyzes non-reducing, terminal 1,4-linked α-D-glucose residues and releases α-D-glucose. The gene encoding GANC maps to human chromosome 15q15.1, a region associated with susceptibility to non-insulin-dependent (type 2) diabetes mellitus, a disease characterized by high blood glucose levels. Human chromosome 15 houses over 700 genes and comprises nearly 3% of the human genome. Angelman syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Tay-Sachs disease and Marfan syndrome are all associated with defects in chromosome 15-localized genes.
Supplier:  AMBEED, INC
Description:   cis-2,6-Dimethylmorpholine 97%

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   GBE1 is a 702 amino acid protein that is expressed at high levels in muscle and liver and is involved in glycogen biosynthesis. Existing as a monomer, GBE1 catalyzes the transfer of alpha-1,4-linked glucosyl units from the outer end of a glycogen chain to an alpha-1,6 position on a neighboring glycogen chain and, via this catalytic activity, plays an essential role in glycogen accumulation. Defects in the gene encoding GBE1 are the cause of glycogen storage disease type 4 (GSD4) and adult polyglucosan body disease (APBD), the first of which is a metabolic disorder that is associated with the accumulation of polysaccharides and is characterized by liver disease during childhood. Unlike GSD4, APBD is a late-onset disorder that affects the central and peripheral nervous systems and is characterized by cognitive impairment, pyramidal tetraparesis and peripheral neuropathy.

Supplier:  Rockland Immunochemical
Description:   Caldesmon is a potential actomyosin regulatory protein found in smooth muscle and nonmuscle cells. The predicted smooth-muscle polypeptide is 793 amino acids long. The high molecular weight caldesmon (h-CaD) is predominantly expressed in smooth muscles, whereas the low molecular weight caldesmon (l-CaD) is widely distributed in nonmuscle tissues and cells. Hayashi et al. (1992) demonstrated that the human CDM gene is composed of 14 exons. This antibody is suitable for researchers interested in neurodegenerative diseases, developmental signaling, GPCR signaling, and MAK Kinase Signaling.
Catalog Number: (10822-022)

Supplier:  Shenandoah Biotechnology
Description:   Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) is hematopoietic growth factor produced by endothelial cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, and T cells. GM-CSF stimulates the production of neutrophilic granulocytes, macrophages, and mixed granulocyte-macrophage colonies from bone marrow cells. GM-CSF promotes immune system development and regulates neutrophil function during infection. Human and mouse GM-CSF show no cross-reactivity.

Description:   Cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1) is a 201 amino acid member of the interleukin-6 superfamily. It was identified by its ability to induce hypertrophic response in cardiac myocytes. CT-1 mRNA levels were found both in cardiac myocytes and in cardiac nonmyocytes. CT-1 was also detected in abundance in normal adult human lung and was expressed in both fetal and adult airway smooth muscle cells. CT-1activates gp130 dependent signaling and stimulates the Janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription (JAK/STAT) pathway to transduce hypertrophic and cytoprotective signals in cardiac myocytes. CT-1 has also a neurotrophic function. CT-1 deficiency causes increased motoneuron cell death in spinal cord and brainstem nuclei of mice during a period between embryonic day 14 and the first postnatal week.
