Transcription factor involved in osteoblastic differentiation and skeletal morphogenesis. Essential for the maturation of osteoblasts and both intramembranous and endochondral ossification. CBF binds to the core site, 5'-PYGPYGGT-3', of a number of enhancers and promoters, including murine leukemia virus, polyomavirus enhancer, T-cell receptor enhancers, osteocalcin, osteopontin, bone sialoprotein, alpha 1(I) collagen, LCK, IL-3 and GM-CSF promoters. In osteoblasts, supports transcription activation: synergizes with SPEN/MINT to enhance FGFR2-mediated activation of the osteocalcin FGF-responsive element (OCFRE) (By similarity). Inhibits KAT6B-dependent transcriptional activation.

Description:
This gene is a member of a photoreceptor-specific gene family and encodes an integral membrane protein found in the photoreceptor disk rim of the eye. This protein can form homodimers or can heterodimerize with another photoreceptor, retinal degeneration slow (RDS). It is essential for disk morphogenesis, and may also function as an adhesion molecule involved in the stabilization and compaction of outer segment disks or in the maintenance of the curvature of the rim. Certain defects in this gene have been associated with the degenerative eye disease retinitis pigmentosa. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description:
The SN3 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD24, a 35-45 kDA molecule also known as the Heat Stable Antigen (HAS), Ly-52, Nectadrin. It can be used as a marker for distinguishing between lymphocyte developmental stages as its expression varies on T and B cells during differentiation. CD24 is also expressed on monocytes, dendritic cells, hematopoietic stem cells, epidermal Lagershans cells, and neurons.

This is amino acids 17 to 26 fragment of p53, fluorescent labeled through an LC spacer. This peptide is the Mdm-2 binding domain of p53 known also as p53N. This sequence contains all of the residues that come into contact with the binding domain of Mdm-2. The tumor suppressor protein p53 is important in maintaining genome stability and in preventing cancer development, FITC (Abs/Em=493 nm/517 nm)..

Description:
The 1D3 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein, a member of the Ig superfamily and a B cell-lineage differentiation antigen expressed by all the B lymphocyte development stages, except for the terminally differentiated plasma cells. CD19 associates with CD21, CD81 and MHC class II to form a multi-molecular complex that initiates the mature B lymphocyte activation by interaction with the B-cell receptors. CD 19 enhances the B cell proliferation, development and activation, and the maturation of memory B cells. In CD19-deficient mice, the generation and maturation of B lymphocytes in the bone marrow and periphery are affected.

Description:
Glutamate receptors are the predominant excitatory neurotransmitter receptors in the mammalian brain and are activated in a variety of normal neurophysiologic processes. These receptors are heteromeric protein complexes with multiple subunits, each possessing transmembrane regions, and all arranged to form a ligand-gated ion channel. The classification of glutamate receptors is based on their activation by different pharmacologic agonists. This gene belongs to a family of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionate (AMPA) receptors. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description:
In contrast to growth factors which promote cell proliferation, FAS ligand (FAS-L) and the tumor necrosis factors (TNFs) rapidly induce apoptosis. Cellular response to FAS-L and TNF is mediated by structurally related receptors containing a conserved cytoplasmic region called the “death domainâ€. DAPL1 (Death-associated protein-like 1), also known as EEDA (Early epithelial differentiation-associated protein), is a 107 amino acid protein that is expressed in hair follicles and is thought to function in a similar manner to DAP-1, possibly participating in the early stages of epithelial differentiation and/or apoptosis.

Description:
Nuclear receptor that binds peroxisome proliferators such as hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. Once activated by a ligand, the nuclear receptor binds to DNA specific PPAR response elements (PPRE) and modulates the transcription of its target genes, such as acyl-CoA oxidase. It therefore controls the peroxisomal beta-oxidation pathway of fatty acids. Key regulator of adipocyte differentiation and glucose homeostasis. ARF6 acts as a key regulator of the tissue-specific adipocyte P2 (aP2) enhancer. Acts as a critical regulator of gut homeostasis by suppressing NF-kappa-B-mediated proinflammatory responses.

Description:
Chemerin, also known as retinoic acid receptor responder 2 (RARRES2) and tazarotene induced gene 2 (TIG2), is a chemoattractant protein for cells expressing G-protein-linked receptor chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1, ChemR23 or GPCR-DEZ). The protein is synthesized as a secreted precursor, prochemerin (18 kDa), which is poorly active. Upon proteolytic removal of the last six amino acids, prochemerin is converted into mature active chemerin (15-16 kDa) that acts as a strong and highly specific agonist of its receptor CMKLR1. Chemerin is a newly described adipokine with effects on adipocyte differnetiation and metabolism.

Description:
Rho GTPase-activating protein involved in cell polarity, cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. Acts as a GTPase activator for the Rac-type GTPase by converting it to an inactive GDP-bound state. Controls actin remodeling by inactivating Rac downstream of Rho leading to suppress leading edge protrusion and promotes cell retraction to achieve cellular polarity. Able to suppress RAC1 and CDC42 activity in vitro. Overexpression induces cell rounding with partial or complete disruption of actin stress fibers and formation of membrane ruffles, lamellipodia, and filopodia. Isoform 2 is a vascular cell-specific GAP involved in modulation of angiogenesis.

Description:
GATA1 is a Cys2/Cys2 zinc finger DNA binding protein that is expressed primarily in erythroid, megakaryocytic, mast cells and eosinophilic cells. It belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is a transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells. The protein also plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch from fetal hemoglobin production to adult hemoglobin.
