Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   2,2'-Azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic Acid) Solution is oxidized to a radical action showing absorption maxima at 820 nm, 734 nm, 650 nm and 405 nm, in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and HRP. The latter frequency demonstrates a significant molar extinction coefficient and is generally employed for most ABTS assays. Stopping the reaction with acid does not alter the 405 nm spectrum allowing kinetic and endpoint methods to be measured at the same wavelength. Provided as a room temperature stable, single component ABTS solution satisfactory for quantitative analysis of HRP based systems.
Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Reference compound for the fluorescent (nitric oxide) NO probe DAR-4M.
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   p-Nitroblue Tetrazolium Chloride is an NADPH-diaphorase substrate that competitively inhibits NOS (nitric oxide synthase) (IC50 = 3-4 μM). In combination with 5-Bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl phosphate (BCIP) and an appropriate reaction buffer, Nitroblue tetrazolium forms a substrate for the colorimetric detection of alkaline phosphatase conjugates in a variety of molecular and cell biology techniques.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   SCARB1 Antibody: Scavenger receptor class B member 1 (SCARB1), also known as SR-BI, is part of the scavenger receptor superfamily, which is composed of many members with diverse structures, expression patterns, and functions. SCARB1 is a multi-ligand cell-surface receptor that mediates the selective uptake of lipid from HDL cholesterol into cells and is expressed in steroidogenic tissues in adult animals. Other ligands of SCARB1 include native, acetylated, or oxidized LDL and anionic phospholipids. SCARB1-deficient mice have elevated HDL levels and increased susceptibility to atherosclerosis on fat feeding, indicating its importance in the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis. Along with CLDN1, LDL-R, and the tetraspanin superfamily member CD81, SCARB1 has been reported to be an entry factor for the Hepatitis C virus.

Supplier:  THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC CHEMICALS
Description:   Tri(2-furyl)phosphine 98%
Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   NADPH-diaphorase substrate that competitively inhibits NOS (nitric oxide synthase). Well-known scavenger of superoxide anions. Dye that is used for detection of alkaline phosphatase in combination with 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indoxyl phosphate (BCIP). This substrate system produces an insoluble NBT diformazan end product that is blue in color and can be observed visually. When used with BCIP, it is suitable for detection of alkaline phosphatase in western blots, for immunohistological staining procedures and for colorimetric indication of bacterial infection in blood samples. Used as a redox indicator for enzymatic reactions including dehydrogenases, threonine deaminase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, phosphofructokinase on polyacrylamide gels, oxidases on polyacrylamide gels and pentose shunt dehydrogenses. The NBT/BCIP reaction is also used for colorimetric/spectrophotometric activity assays of oxidoreductases. One application is in activity stains in gel electrophoresis, such as with the mitochondrial electron transport chain complexes.
