Product DescriptionDGAT-1 inhibitor A 922500 (A-922500) reduces serum triglyceride levels from baseline at all doses tested; however, this is only statistically significant at the 3 mg/kg dose, which lowers serum triglycerides by 53%. Similarly, the 3 mg/kg dose of A 922500 significantly reduces serum FFA concentrations by 55% and total cholesterol by 25%. DGAT-1 inhibition has no significant effect on body weight at any dose tested. Although A 922500 dpes not significantly affect LDL-cholesterol or HDL-cholesterol individually, the serum LDL/HDL-cholesterol ratio is significantly improved by A 922500 at 0.3 and 3 mg/kg. Similar to the dyslipidemic hamster, treatment with 3 mg/kg A 922500 significantly reduces serum triglyceride concentrations (39%). FFA levels significantly increase over the 14-day period in vehicle-treated animals. This increase is inhibited in a dose-dependent manner by A 922500 such that FFA concentrations are 32% lower after 14 days of treatment with the DGAT-1 inhibitor at 3 mg/kg, compared with the vehicle group (p < 0.05). HDL-cholesterol is significantly increased from baseline levels by A 922500 at 0.3 and 3 mg/kg; however, this is only significantly increased compared with vehicle at the 3 mg/kg dose. Body weight significantly increases over the 2-week period in vehicle-treated rats, and this is not affected by A 922500. LDL-cholesterol is significantly reduced in the vehicle treated group. DGAT-1 inhibition does not further reduce LDL-cholesterol and has no effect on total cholesterol.Product ApplicationA922500 has been used in the inhibition of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) in epithelial human breast cancer cell line (MDA-MB-231), digitonin-permeabilized human cancer cells, human myotubes and macrophages.

Description:
Inhibitor of a variety of serine/threonine and tyrosine kinases, like protein kinase C (PKC), cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA), S6 kinase, Akt (protein kinase B; PKB), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase activity and others including KDR, VEGFR, PDGFR, c-kit and other receptor tyrosine kinases. Potently inhibits FLT-3 kinase including mutant forms found in acute myeloid leukemia in vitro and in vivo. Apoptosis inducer. Showed broad antiproliferative activity against various tumor cell lines. Selectively inhibits T lymphocyte production of TNF-α. Upregulates endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS; NOS III). Abrogates tumor angiogenesis in vivo.

Description:
Folic acid, also known as folate, is a B vitamin that can be found in a variety of fruits and vegetables. It can also be chemically synthesized. Folate, a watersoluble vitamin, helps the body form red blood cells and aids in the formation of genetic material within every body cell. This product exhibits metal binding properties. Hematopoietic vitamin present, free or combined with one or more additional molecules of L-(+)-glutamic acid, in liver, kidney, mushrooms, spinach, yeast, green leaves, and grasses.
Folic acid (Vitamin B9 and folate) is essential to numerous bodily functions. The human body needs folate to synthesize DNA, repair DNA, and methylate DNA as well as to act as a cofactor in certain biological reactions. It is especially important in aiding rapid cell division and growth, such as in infancy and pregnancy. Folic acid (FA) and dihydrofolic acid (FAH2) are substrates of dihydrofolate reductase(s) which reduce them to tetrahydrofolate (THF), which in turn supports ‘one carbon’ transfer. Tetrahydrofolates are required for de novo synthesis of purines, thymidylic acid and various amino acids and for post-translational methylation (epigenetics). Very slightly soluble in cold water (0.0016 mg/mL at 25 °C), soluble to about 1% in boiling water. Slightly soluble in methanol, appreciably less soluble in ethanol and butanol. Insoluble in acetone, chloroform, ether, benzene. Relatively soluble in acetic acid, phenol, pyridine, solutions of alkali hydroxides and carbonates. Soluble in hot dilute HCl and H2SO4.
