An inhibitor of Xanthine Oxidase which decreases uric acid production; also inhibits de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis.

Inhibitor of xanthine oxidase and de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis. A classical agent in treatment of hyperuricemia and gout.

Soluble in 1 M sodium hydroxide (50 mg/ml), water (0.48 mg/ml), chloroform (0.60 mg/ml), ethanol (0.30 mg/ml), methanol, DMSO (4.6 mg/ml) and DMF (20 mg/ml- yields a slightly cloudy, colorless solution).

An inhibitor of Xanthine Oxidase which decreases uric acid production; also inhibits de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis.
