The Pierce™ protease and phosphatase inhibitor tablets contains protease and/or phosphatase inhibitors to provide broad spectrum complete protections to proteins from degradations.

  • The inhibitor tablests form quickly dissolves to give clear formulation
  • EDTA inhibits metalloproteases by chelating divalent cations necessary for their activity
  • The inhibitor formulation is compatible with most protein assays
  • Do not contain phosphatase inhibitors

Each tablet contains a mixture of several potent inhibitors. The protease inhibitors target aminopeptidases and cysteine and serine proteases. The phosphatase inhibitors target serine, threonine and protein tyrosine phosphatases.

Protease inhibitor tablets protect proteins from proteolytic degradation through inhibition of the serine proteases, cysteine proteases, aspartic acid proteases, and aminopeptidases that are typically present in cell lysate samples. The tablets contain AEBSF, aprotinin, bestatin, E-64, leupeptin, and pepstatin A.
