Hypromellose, Substitution Type 2910, 4000 mPa.s, USP is a semisynthetic, viscoelastic polymer that is inert and used as an ophthalmic lubricant, a controlled-delivery component and an excipient in oral medicaments. It is also used as a food additive and acts as an emulsifier, suspending agent and thickening agent.
