NIACIN, POWDER, USP, is also referred to as vitamin B3 and nicotine acid and is one of the essential human nutrients. It is a colorless, water soluble derivative of pyridine. As a food supplement it is available over the counter but can also be found naturally in various food groups such as meat, fruit and vegetables and seeds. Spectrum Chemical USP products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) per 21CFR part 211 in FDA registered and inspected facilities.
