Phenolphthalein, Powder, Reagent, ACS is a chemical compound that varies in color according to the acidity level of the solution it is in. It has traditionally been used as a laxative but has more recently been used as part of a test to identify blood in substances, known as the Kastle-Mayer test. It is also used in certain toys to create disappearing ink effect. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness
