Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether is an organic compound that has no color, no odor, is a transparent viscous liquid and has a lightly sweet tatse. It is miscible and hygroscopic with water, acetone and chloroform. Nearly half of all propylene glycol made is used for the fabrication of unsaturated polyester resin. It is also used in food and tabacco products as a humectant, preservative and solvent.
