Description:
These silica- and polymer-based columns are ideal for reversed-phase applications such as pharmaceutical drugs, forensic compounds, derivatised amino acids, carbohydrates, steroids, lipids and fatty acids. Depending on their molecular weight, peptides may be analysed with the 80 to 140 Ã… silica-based columns, while proteins require a larger pore size column (200 to 300 Ã…).

Description:
Tris has been useful as buffers in a wide variety of biological systems. Uses include pH control in vitro and in vivo for body fluids and in buffering systems for electrophoresis applications. Tris has been used as a starting material for polymers, oxazolones (with carboxylic acids) and oxazolidines (with aldehydes). Tris does not precipitate calcium salts and is of value in maintaining solubility of manganese salts. It can be used for the direct standardization of a strong acid solution; the equivalence point can be determined either potentiometrically or by use of a suitable indicator such as 3-(4-Dimethylamino-1-naphthylazo)-4-methoxybenzenesulfonic acid. It is an auxiliary material in pharmaceutical science.
Store at Room Temperature (15-30 °C). Store dessicated.

Description:
GCN1L1 is a 2,671 amino acid protein that is ubiquitously expressed and belongs to the GCN1 family. Functioning as a translation activator, GCN1L1 interacts with IMPACT to regulproteinate GCN2 kinase activity. GCN1L1 contains 24 HEAT repeats and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 12q24.23. Chromosome 12 encodes over 1,100 genes and comprises approximately 4.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 12 is associated with a variety of diseases and afflictions, including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Noonan syndrome and trisomy 12p, which causes facial developmental defects and seizure disorders.

Description:
SLAM Family Member 6 (SLAMF6) is a 60 kD single-pass type I membrane protein that belongs to the SLAM subgroup of the CD2 family. Human SLAMF6/ NTB-A contains a 205 amino acid extracellular domain (ECD) with one Ig-like V-set and one Ig-like C2-set domain, a 21 amino acid transmembrane segment and an 84 amino acid cytoplasmic domain, with two immunoreceptor tyrosine-based switch motifs. SLAMF6 is a homodimer. SLAMF6 can interact with PTN6 and, upon phosphorylation, with PTN11 and SH2D1A/SAP. Phosphorylation-dependent NTB-A association with SAP is required for full production of IFN- gamma by NK cells and independent of EAT-2 binding. It Triggers cytolytic activity only in natural killer cells (NK) expressing high surface densities of natural cytotoxicity receptors. On B cells, NTB-A modulates immunoglobulin class switching and the balance between tolerance and autoimmunity.

Description:
BOLA1 (BolA-like protein 1), also known as CGI-143, is a member of the BolA/yrbA family of proteins. Members of this family are homologs of the Escherichia coli protein, BolA. BolA-like proteins are evolutionarily conserved from prokaryotes to eukaryotes and are believed to play a role in cell-cycle regulation or cell proliferation possibly via some sort of transcription regulation of other genes. In addition, BolA-like proteins may contain nucleic-acid binding properties, as is suggested by a fold structure that is similar to the KH-fold, a motif known to participate in nucleic-acid binding. Characteristic of BolA-like proteins which typically consist of approximately 100 amino acids, BOLA1 is a 137 amino acid protein.

Description:
Myeov is a 313 amino acid protein that is overexpressed in a variety of cancers and is thought to play a prominent role in tumor transformation and metastasis. The gene encoding Myeov maps to human chromosome 11, which comprises approximately 4% of human genomic DNA and is considered a gene and disease association dense chromosome. MYEOV2 (myeloma overexpressed 2) is a 57 amino acid protein that exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms and belongs to the MYEOV2 family. MYEOV2 is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 2q37.3.

MDC is a CC chemokine that is produced in B cells, macrophages, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, activated NK cells and CD4 T cells. It signals through the CCR4 receptor. MDC chemoattracts monocytes, dendritic cells and NK cells and exerts HIV suppressive activity. The 67 amino acid form of MDC displays reduced chemoattractant activity but retains HIV suppressive activity. Recombinant murine MDC is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.

Description:
S-tag is the name of an oligopeptide derived from pancreatic ribonuclease A (RNase A). If RNase A is digested with subtilisin, a single peptide bond is cleaved, but the resulting two products remain weakly bound to each other and the protein, called ribonuclease S, remains active although each of the two products alone shows no enzymatic activity. The N-terminus of the original RNase A, also called S-peptide, consists of 20 amino acid residues, of which only the first 15 are required for ribonuclease activity. This 15 amino acids long peptide is called S15 or S-tag.
