Supplier:  Thermo Scientific Chemicals
Description:   Inhibits cell proliferation and induces monocytic differentiation of HL-60 cells. Activates protein phosphatases
MSDS SDS
Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   The MR1 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD154, a 39kDA transmembrane glycoprotein also known as CD40 ligand and gp39. CD154 is expressed on activated T cells and plays a role in B-T cell costimulation. The interaction of CD154 with CD40 induces B cell cycle entry and the signaling for T-dependent B cell activation. By interfering with this interaction, the MR1 antibody is reported to inhibit T and B lymphocyte activation.

Supplier:  Genetex
Description:   Platelet-activating factor (PAF) is a biologically active phospholipid with diverse biologic effects. PAF is degraded to inactive products by hydrolysis of the acetyl group at the sn2 position to produce the biologically inactive products LYSO PAF and acetate. This reaction is catalyzed by PAF acetylhydrolase (PAFAH). The various monomeric and multimeric forms of the enzyme are composed of alpha, beta, and gamma PAFAH subunits. The catalytic activity of the enzyme resides in the beta and gamma subunits, whereas the alpha subunit has regulatory activity. Trimer formation is not essential for the catalytic activity.
Supplier:  Biolegend

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   CD80 is a member of the Ig superfamily and serves as the ligand for two T cell molecules, CD28 and CTLA4. Interactions between CD28 and CD80 on activated B cells result in enhanced T cell activation. CD80 is rapidly induced on the surface of in vitro activated B cells, Epstein Barr Virus (EBV) transformed B cell lines, Burkitts lymphoma cell lines, freshly isolated follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes. It is also expressed at high levels in dendritic cells. It reacts weakly with a small proportion of non activated normal B cells and with HTLV1 infected T cells. CD80 does not react with peripheral monocytes, resting and activated normal T cells, T cell lines and T cell clones, nor with myelomonocytic cell lines.

Description:   p21-activated kinases (PAKs) belong to the family of serine/threonine kinases involved in the control of various cellular processes, including the cell cycle, dynamics of the cytoskeleton, apoptosis, oncogenic transformation, and transcription. All PAK family members are characterized by the presence of p21-binding domain. p21-activated kinases are regulated by the small GTP-binding proteins Rac and Cdc42, and lipids, which stimulate autophosphorylation and phosphorylation of exogenous substrates. Serine (Ser-474) is the likely autophosphorylation site in the kinase domain of PAK4 in vivo. Phosphospecific directed against serine 474 detect activated PAK4 on the Golgi membrane when PAK4 is co-expressed with activated Cdc42. Current data strongly implicates PAK-4 in oncogenesis. PAK4 is frequently overexpressed in human tumor cell lines of various tissue origins. Serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a role in a variety of different signaling pathways including cytoskeleton regulation, cell migration, proliferation or cell survival. Activation by various effectors including growth factor receptors or active CDC42 and RAC1 results in a conformational change and a subsequent autophosphorylation on several serine and/or threonine residues. Phosphorylates the proto-oncogene RAF1 and stimulates its kinase activity. Promotes cell survival by phosphorylating the BCL2 antagonist of cell death BAD. Phosphorylates CTNND1, probably to regulate cytoskeletal organization and cell morphology. Keeps microtubules stable through MARK2 inhibition and destabilizes the F-actin network leading to the disappearance of stress fibers and focal adhesions.
