Description:
C1orf25, also known as TRM1L (TRMT1-like protein), MST070 or MSTP070, is a 733 amino acid protein that belongs to the TRM1 family of proteins. Expressed in a wide variety of tissues, C1orf25 contains one C2H2-type zinc finger and shares sequence similarity with TRMT1, a tRNA methyltransferase that dimethylates guanine at position 26 of tRNAs. As is suggested by observations of C1orf25-deficient mice, C1orf25 is believed to play a role in exploratory behavior and motor coordination. The gene encoding C1orf25 localizes to chromosome 1 and, due to alternative splicing events, C1orf25 exists as at least two isoforms.

Description:
BMP2 belongs to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFB) superfamily of secreted growth factors. It is a disulfide-linked homodimer and induces bone and cartilage formation. In addition to its osteogenic activity, BMP2 plays an important role in cardiac morphogenesis and is expressed in a variety of tissues including lung, spleen, brain, liver, prostate ovary and small intestine. The functional form of BMP2 is a 26 kDa protein composed of two identical 114 amino acid polypeptide chains linked by a single disulfide bond. BMPs control fundamental events in early embryonic development, organogenesis and adult tissue homeostasis.

Description:
ADRM1 is a 407 amino acid protein that localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and is thought to be involved in protein recruitment and cell adhesion. An integral membrane protein, ADRM1 functions to recruit UCH-L5, a deubiquitinating enzyme, to the 26S proteasome, and once at the proteasome it promotes the activity of UCH-L5. Additionally, ADRM1 is thought to mediate lymphocyte adhesion in endothelial cells and may thus play a role in lymphocyte homing. ADRM1 expression is induced by IFN-g in some cancer cell lines and its expression is upregulated in other metastatic cells, suggesting a role in carcinogenesis. Two isoforms of ADRM1 exist due to alternative splicing events.

Description:
IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines, which includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24 and IL-26. Members of this family share partial homology in their amino acid sequences, but they are dissimilar in their biological functions. Produced by T lymphocytes, IL-22 inhibits IL-4 production by Th2 cells, and induces acute phase reactants in the liver and pancreas. IL-22 signals through a receptor system consisting of IL-10Rβ/CRF2-4 and IL-22R, both of which are members of the class II cytokine-receptor family. Recombinant Murine IL-22 is a 33.4 kDa, non-disulfide-linked, homodimeric protein consisting of two 147 amino acid polypeptide chains.

XK empty columns are designed for liquid chromatography at low to medium pressure. The user friendly design ensures trouble-free operation with fittings for direct connection to high performance liquid chromatography systems. They are compatible with aqueous solutions and most organic solvents used in liquid chromatography of macromolecules. They are not resistant to acetone, ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons, aliphatic esters and phenol. Should be avoided: >10% NaOH, >10% HCl, >5% acetic acid and strong mineral acids.

Description:
Mouse myeloid cell surface antigen CD33(CD33) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and SIGLEC (sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin) family. CD33 contains one Ig-like C2-type domain and one Ig-like V-type domain. CD33 is a putative adhesion molecule of myelomonocytic-derived cells that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. CD33 preferentially binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface. In the immune response, CD33 may act as an inhibitory receptor upon ligand induced tyrosine phosphorylation by recruiting cytoplasmic phosphatase(s) via their SH2 domain(s) that block signal transduction through dephosphorylation of signaling molecules. CD33 induces apoptosis in acute myeloid leukemia. CD33 is becoming increasingly important as a target of antibody-mediated therapy in acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

Description:
Annexin VI belongs to a family of calcium-dependent membrane and phospholipid binding proteins. Although their functions are still not clearly defined, several members of the annexin family have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. The annexin VI gene is approximately 60 kbp long and contains 26 exons. It encodes a protein of about 68 kDa that consists of eight 68-amino acid repeats separated by linking sequences of variable lengths. It is highly similar to human annexins I and II sequences, each of which contain four such repeats. Exon 21 of annexin VI is alternatively spliced, giving rise to two isoforms that differ by a 6-amino acid insertion at the start of the seventh repeat. Annexin VI has been implicated in mediating the endosome aggregation and vesicle fusion in secreting epithelia during exocytosis.

Description:
In cardiac tissue brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is synthesized as 134 amino acid precursor (prepro-BNP), which is cleaved by proteases to form a 26 aa ""signal"" peptide and a 108 aa pro-BNP. Proteolytic digestion of pro-BNP results in formation of 76 aa amino-terminal NT-proBNP and biologically active 32 aa BNP hormone molecule. Both proBNP and NTproBNP circulate in human plasma and have been proposed as markers for early diagnosis of left ventricular dysfunction as well as prognostic markers of possible cardiac complications at patients with heart failure.

It may catalyze the formation of the NeuAc-alpha-2,3-Gal-beta-1,3-GalNAc- or NeuAc-alpha-2,3-Gal-beta-1,3-GlcNAc-sequences found in terminal carbohydrate groups of glycoproteins and glycolipids. It may be involved in the biosynthesis of the sialyl Lewis X determinant.Synthesis of alpha-2,3-linked sialic acid to Gal (beta-1,3)GalNAc is mediated by at least 3 distinct beta-galactoside alpha-2,3-sialyltransferases (EC 2.4.99.4), including ST3GAL4. In contrast, only a single gene encodes the beta-galactoside alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase (EC 2.4.99.1), ST6GAL1 (MIM 109675) (Chang et al., 1995 [PubMed 7655169]).
