Description:
This antibody recognizes a glycoprotein of ~200 kDa, identified as carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX/gp200). Carbonic Anhydrases (CAs) are members of a large family of zinc metallo-enzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. CAs are involved in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva and gastric juice. They show extensive diversity in distribution and in their subcellular localization. CA IX is specifically expressed in clear-cell renal carcinomas.
CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®488A is a green fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 490/515 nm) with excellent brightness and photostability. The dye is minimally charged for less non-specific binding. CF®488A also is compatible with super-resolution imaging by TIRF.
Description:
1g dissolves in 0.9 mL water; 0.3 mL boiling water, 7.2 mL absolute alcohol, 4.2 mL methanol; insoluble in glycerol. The dissolution of sodium hydroxide in water is a highly exothermic reaction. Sodium hydroxide stock solutions should be stored in plastic containers. Glass containers should be avoided in the preparation and storage of sodium hydroxide solutions because it will etch the glass (typically anything over 2 N will etch glass). Keep solutions protected from air as much as possible since contact with air will form sodium carbonate.
Description:
Sodium Hydroxide, Pellets, BiotechGrade or caustic soda, is an inorganic, highly basic compound that is water soluble, as well as soluble in ethanol and methanol. One of its many characteristics is that it's a deliquescent alkali and absorbs carbon dioxide and moisture from the air. Spectrum offers highly pure reagents suitable for biochemical research and analysis. The critical parameters involved are absence of inhibitors such as traces of heavy metals as well as biochemical function tests for enzymes, coenzymes and enzyme substrates
Description:
Ciprofloxacin is a fluorinated quinolone antibacterial agent which is highly effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria and mycoplasma. Ciprofloxacin is most commonly used to treat infections of the skin, bone, sinus, lung, abdomen, and bladder. It can also be used to treat some sexually transmitted infections. Additionally, ciprofloxacin can be used after exposure to inhalation anthrax to reduce the chance of developing an infection. During the proliferation phase of a bacterium a segmental twisting and untwisting of the chromosomes take place. An enzyme called DNA gyrase plays a decisive part in this process. Ciprofloxacin inhibits this DNA gyrase in a way that arrests the bacterial metabolism, since vital information can no longer be read from the bacterial chromosome. Ultimately, it affect DNA replication & cell division. Store at +4 °C.

Description:
Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. CA1 is closely linked to CA2 and CA3 genes on chromosome 8, and it encodes a cytosolic protein which is found at the highest level in erythrocytes. Variants of this gene have been described in some populations. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. Transcript variants of CA1 utilizing alternative polyA_sites have been described in literature.
