2-(2,3-Dimethylphenyl)propan-2-ol
Supplier:
PeproTech, Inc.
Description:
The FGF family plays a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-23, FGF-21 and FGF-19 constitute an atypical FGF subfamily whose ligands act as circulating hormones and require the participation of a Klotho protein as a co-receptor for their signaling. FGF-23 is a bone-derived hormone that acts in the kidney to regulate phosphate homeostasis and vitamin D metabolism. The signaling receptor for FGF-23, a Klotho-FGFR1 (IIIc) complex, is an essential regulator of the renal sodium phosphate co-transporter and key vitamin D-metabolizing enzymes CYP27B1 and CYP24A1. Recombinant Human FGF-23 is a 25.5 kDa globular protein containing 228 amino acid residues.

Description:
FGF-23 (Fibroblast growth factor 23) is a regulator of phosphate homeostasis. It upregulates EGR1 expression in the presence of KLBy. Acts directly on the parathyroid to decrease PTH secretion. Regulates the vitamin-D metabolism. Negatively regulates osteoblast differentiation and matrix mineralization. Defects in FGF-23 are the cause of autosomal dominant hypophosphataemic rickets (ADHR) and of hyperphosphatemic familial tumoral calcinosis (HFTC).

Description:
2,2'-Azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic Acid) Solution is oxidized to a radical action showing absorption maxima at 820 nm, 734 nm, 650 nm and 405 nm, in the presence of hydrogen peroxide and HRP. The latter frequency demonstrates a significant molar extinction coefficient and is generally employed for most ABTS assays. Stopping the reaction with acid does not alter the 405 nm spectrum allowing kinetic and endpoint methods to be measured at the same wavelength. Provided as a room temperature stable, single component ABTS solution satisfactory for quantitative analysis of HRP based systems.
