Description:
The IGFs are mitogenic, polypeptide growth factors that stimulate the proliferation and survival of various cell types, including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue in vitro . IGFs are predominantly produced by the liver, although a variety of tissues produce the IGFs at distinctive times. The IGFs belong to the Insulin gene family, which also contains insulin and relaxin. The IGFs are similar to insulin by structure and function, but have a much higher growth-promoting activity than insulin. IGF-II expression is influenced by placenta lactogen, while IGF-I expression is regulated by growth hormone. Both IGF-I and IGF-II signal through the tyrosine kinase type I receptor (IGF-IR), but IGF-II can also signal through the IGF-II/Mannose-6-phosphate receptor. Mature IGFs are generated by proteolytic processing of inactive precursor proteins, which contain N-terminal and C-terminal propeptide regions. Recombinant Human IGF-I and IGF-II are globular proteins containing 70 and 67 amino acids, respectively, and 3 intra-molecular disulfide bonds. IGF-I LR3 is a recombinant analog of human IGF-I comprised of the complete IGF-I sequence, with an Arginine substitution for the third position Glutamic acid, and a 13 amino acid length N terminus peptide extension. Specifically engineered for higher biological potency Recombinant Human IGF-I LR3 is a 9.1 kDa, single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 83 amino acid residues.

Description:
PDLIM5 is a LIM domain protein. LIM domains are cysteine-rich double zinc fingers composed of 50 to 60 amino acids that are involved in protein-protein interactions. LIM domain-containing proteins are scaffolds for the formation of multiprotein complexes. The proteins are involved in cytoskeleton organization, cell lineage specification, organ development, and oncogenesis. The encoded protein is also a member of the Enigma class of proteins, a family of proteins that possess a 100-amino acid PDZ domain in the N terminus and 1 to 3 LIM domains in the C terminus. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, although not all of them have been fully characterized. The protein encoded by this gene is a LIM domain protein. Description:
Protein O-Linked-Mannose beta -1 2-N-Acetylglucosaminyltransferase 1 (POMGNT1) belongs to the Glycosyltransferase 13 family. Amino acid residues between 299-311 are important for both protein expression and enzymatic activity. The minimal catalytic domain is located between positions 299-651. It is suggested that the stem domain of the soluble form is unnecessary for activity, but that some amino acids play a crucial role in the membrane-bound form. Defects in POMGNT1 are the cause of muscular dystrophy-dystroglycanopathy congenital with brain and eye anomalies type A3 (MDDGA3).

Description:
IL-22 is a member of the IL-10 family of regulatory cytokines, which includes IL-10, IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24 and IL-26. Members of this family share partial homology in their amino acid sequences, but they are dissimilar in their biological functions. Produced by T lymphocytes, IL-22 inhibits IL-4 production by Th2 cells, and induces acute phase reactants in the liver and pancreas. IL-22 signals through a receptor system consisting of IL-10Rβ/CRF2-4 and IL-22R, both of which are members of the class II cytokine-receptor family. Recombinant Human IL-22 is a 33.6 kDa, non-disulfide-linked, homodimeric protein consisting of two 147 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Description:
Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) constitute a subfamily within the TGF-β superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. Members of this superfamily are widely distributed throughout the body and are involved in diverse physiological processes during both pre- and postnatal life. BMP-10 plays a crucial role in the development of the embryonic heart by acting to stimulate and maintain cardiomyocyte proliferation. It can signal through various receptor complexes usually containing BMPR-1A, BMPR-1B, ALK1, ALK3, or ALK6. The interaction of BMP-10 with its specific receptors can induce signaling initiated by the phosphorylation of SMAD transcription factors, including SMAD1, SMAD5, or SMAD8, but can also induce SMAD independent processes. BMP-10 is structurally related to BMP-9, and both can inhibit endothelial cell proliferation and migration. Recombinant Human BMP-10 is a 24.4 kDa homodimeric disulfide-linked protein consisting of two 108 amino acid subunits, which correspond to amino acid residues 317 to 424 of the full-length BMP-10 precursor.

Description:
Relaxin-2 is a peptide hormone structurally related to insulin, which is expressed in the placenta, decidua, prostate, and in the ovary during pregnancy. Of the three known relaxin genes, Relaxin-2 is the only relaxin known to circulate in the blood. Relaxin-2 binds specifically to the LGR7 and LGR8 receptors, previously identified as an "orphan” G protein coupled receptors. Signaling by Relaxin-2 through its target receptors enhances the growth of pubic ligaments and ripening of the cervix during birth. Recombinant Relaxin-2 is a nonglycosylated 6.0 kDa disulfide linked heterodimeric protein consisting of a 24 amino acid A-chain and a 29 amino acid B-chain.

Description:
Kallikrein 9, also known as Kallikrein-Like 3 (KLK-L3), is a chymotrypsin-like serine proteinase. Kallikrein 9 was discovered as the locus for kallikreins on chromosome 19 was more fully mapped and found by similarity to the other tissue kallikreins. Kallikrein 9 has been found in the ovary, thymus, testis, prostate, skin, breast and neuronal tissues and is made by many cell lines in culture. Kallikrein 9 levels in breast cancer and uterine cancer patients have been reported to drop as the disease progresses, thus hK9 might be considered a favorable prognostic marker. Different splice variants of hK9 have been reported, although it is not yet known if they produce functional proteins. The full length Kallikrein 9 encodes for a 250 amino acid protein, with a predicted mass of 27.5 kDa and a pI of 7.53. The 234 amino acid form predicts a protein of 26 kDa with a pI of 9.76 and this quite basic pI might give the shorter form a very different function or localization. The shorter sequence also diverges before the catalytic serine residue, making it unlikely to be proteolytically active. Pre-pro-kallikrein 9 has the 17 amino acid signal sequence is removed before secretion, and the Pro-kallikrein 9 is activated to Kallikrein 9 by removal of the 5 amino acid propeptide domain.
