Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This antibody reacts with Ig domain of CD47 protein. CD47, originally named integrin-associated protein (IAP), is a 50 kDa protein containing five membrane-spanning sequences and a short cytoplasmic tail. CD47 plays a role in both cell adhesion by acting as an adhesion receptor for THBS1 on platelets, and in the modulation of integrins. It is important in memory formation and synaptic plasticity in the hippocampus. CD47 may play a role in membrane transport and/or integrin dependent signal transduction.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®488A is a green fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 490/515 nm) with excellent brightness and photostability. The dye is minimally charged for less non-specific binding. CF®488A also is compatible with super-resolution imaging by TIRF.

Description:   TCF12, also known as HTF4, is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) E-protein family that recognizes the consensus binding site (E-box) CANNTG. TCF12 is expressed in many tissues, among them skeletal muscle, thymus, B- and T-cells, and may participate in regulating lineage-specific gene expression through the formation of heterodimers with other bHLH E-proteins. TCF12, in combination with E2A, is required to block thymocyte proliferation prior to pre-TCR expression and is critical for proper T cell differentiation. Recent reports have shown that TCF12 is also a critical factor required for the development of invariant natural killer T cells.

Description:   Leukotrienes are metabolic products of arachidonic acid formed by the action of 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO), with the principal products being leukotrienes C4 (LTC4) and B4 (LTB4). Leukotriene B4 (LTB4) stimulates leukocyte functions including lysosomal enzyme release, adhesion, and aggregation of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. LTB4 has been implicated as a potent mediator of inflammatory diseases and immunoregulation. The cysteinyl leukotrienes (LTC4, LTD4, and LTE4) are formed by addition of cysteine derivatives to LTA4. The conversion of LTA4 to LTC4 by the enzyme LTC4 synthase limits the rate of cysteinyl leukotriene formation. Cysteinyl leukotrienes are potent lipid mediators in inflammation, inducing smooth muscle contractions and increased capillary permeability.

Description:   GM130, a cis-Golgi matrix protein, interacts specifically with p115 and provides a membrane docking site. Both GM130 and p115 are involved in vesicle tethering to Golgi membranes. The protein p115 also binds p400, alternatively called giantin. Giantin, the majority of whose mass projects into the cytoplasm, is involved in the docking of COPI vesicles via p115 to the Golgi membrane. Giantin, which also is known as macrogolgin or Golgi complex-associated protein, is involved in cross-bridge formation in the Golgi complex. Giantin, which can form a homodimer, is a single-pass type I membrane protein that is an antigen in Sjoegren syndrome and in chronic rheumatoid arthritis.

Description:   Neuroligins are a family of plasma membrane proteins that possess an N-terminal hydrophobic domain, a large esterase homology domain, a single transmembrane region, a short cytoplasmic domain, and an EF-hand binding domain (1,2). Members of the neuroligin family include Neuroligin 1, Neuroligin 2 and Neuroligin 3. Neuroligins are expressed in excitatory neuronal synaptic clefts. Neuroligins play a role in the formation and remodeling of CNS synapses by binding to b-neurexins, a family of neuronal cell surface proteins. Neuroexin 1b binds to the EF-hand domain of Neuroligin 1 and requires calcium ion. Neuroligins also bind to PSD-95, which may recruit ion channels and neurotransmitter receptors to the synapses.

Description:   TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL; Apo2L;CD253; TNFSF10) is a type II transmembrane protein of about 34kDa. Like most members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily of cytokines TRAIL can be cleaved at the cell surface by metalloproteases to form a soluble molecule. Active TRAIL forms trimers and specifically binds to fi ve distinct receptors: TRAIL-R1 (DR4; Apo2;CD261; TNFRSF10A), TRAIL-R2 (DR5; KILLER; TRICK2A;TRICK2B; CD262; TNFRSF10B), TRAIL-R3 (DcR1;LIT; TRID; CD263; TNFRSF10C), TRAIL-R4 (DcR2;TRUNDD; CD264; TNFRSF10D), and osteoprotegerin (OPG; OCIF; TNFRSF11B). Trimerized TRAIL triggers apoptosis upon ligation of cell surface TRAIL-R1 and/or TRAIL-R2 by inducingthe formation of the so-called multiprotein death-inducing signaling complex (DISC).

Description:   Cadherin-6 (CDH6) is a type-II classic cadherin cell-cell adhesion molecules, which are expressed in graded or areal patterns, as well as layer-specific patterns, in the cortical plate. Human Cadherin-6 is synthesized as a 790 aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 18 aa signal peptide, a 35 aa propeptide, a 562 aa extracellular region, a 21 aa transmembrane segment, and a 154 aa cytoplasmic domain. There are five cadherin domains of approximately 110 aa each in the extracellular region. Cadherin-6 has high expression in kidney, brain, and cerebellum, and may contribute to the formation of the segmental structure of the early brain, as well as the development of renal proximal tubules. Weak expression is also detected in lung, pancreas, gastric mucosa and cytotrophoblasts. As a classic cadherin, Cadherin-6 will form homodimers and promote intercellular adhesion with itself and, possibly, Cadherin-9 and -14.

Description:   Growth factor that plays an essential role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation, cell migration, survival and chemotaxis. Potent mitogen and chemoattractant for cells of mesenchymal origin. Required for normal skeleton formation during embryonic development, especially for normal development of the craniofacial skeleton and for normal development of the palate. Required for normal skin morphogenesis during embryonic development. Plays an important role in wound healing, where it appears to be involved in three stages: inflammation, proliferation and remodeling. Plays an important role in angiogenesis and blood vessel development. Involved in fibrotic processes, in which transformation of interstitial fibroblasts into myofibroblasts plus collagen deposition occurs. The CUB domain has mitogenic activity in coronary artery smooth muscle cells, suggesting a role beyond the maintenance of the latency of the PDGF domain. In the nucleus, PDGFC seems to have additional function.

Description:   MCM7 is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) that is essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by the MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and in the recruitment of other DNA replication related proteins. The MCM complex consisting of this protein and MCM2, 4 and 6 proteins possesses DNA helicase activity, and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase, CDK4, is found to associate with this protein, and may regulate the binding of this protein with the tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB.

Description:   Key regulator of entry into cell division that acts as a tumor suppressor. Acts as a transcription repressor of E2F1 target genes. The underphosphorylated, active form of RB1 interacts with E2F1 and represses its transcription activity, leading to cell cycle arrest. Directly involved in heterochromatin formation by maintaining overall chromatin structure and, in particular, that of constitutive heterochromatin by stabilizing histone methylation. Recruits and targets histone methyltransferases SUV39H1, SUV420H1 and SUV420H2, leading to epigenetic transcriptional repression. Controls histone H4 'Lys-20' trimethylation. Inhibits the intrinsic kinase activity of TAF1. In case of viral infections, interactions with SV40 large T antigen, HPV E7 protein or adenovirus E1A protein induce the disassembly of RB1-E2F1 complex thereby disrupting RB1's activity.

Description:   Chromosome 22 contains over 500 genes and about 49 million bases. Being the second smallest human chromosome, 22 contains a surprising variety of interesting genes. Phelan-McDermid syndrome, Neurofibromatosis type 2 and autism are associated with chromosome 22. A schizophrenia susceptibility locus has been identified on chromosome 22 and studies show that 22q11 deletion symptoms include a high incidence of schizophrenia. Translocations between chromosomes 9 and 22 may lead to the formation of the Philadelphia Chromosome and the subsequent production of the novel fusion protein, BCR-Abl, a potent cell proliferation activator found in several types of leukemia. CCDC134 (coiled-coil domain containing 134), also known as MGC21013 or FLJ22349, is a 229 amino acid protein encoded by a gene mapping to human chromosome 22.
