Description:
This antibody recognizes a protein of 18-35 kDa, identified as CD90 (also known as Thy1). CD90 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It may contribute to inhibition of proliferation/differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells and neuron memory formation in the CNS. It consists of a single Ig domain (112 amino acids; 25-35 kDa) inserted into the cell membrane via a GPI anchor. Expressed by hematopoietic stem cells and neurons in all species studied. Its highly expressed in connective tissue and various fibroblast and stromal cell lines, expressed on all thymocytes and peripheral T cells in mice, but in humans expressed only on small % fetal thymocytes, 10-40% of CD34 cells in bone marrow, and <1% of CD3 CD4 lymphocytes in peripheral circulation. It is also expressed by human lymph node HEV endothelium but not other endothelia. Lastly, it is expressed by a limited number of lymphoblastoid and leukemic cell lines.
CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®594 is a deep red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 593/614 nm). It yields the brightest conjugates among spectrally similar dyes, and has excellent photostability.

Description:
CD24 is expressed in B cells until their terminal differentiation into plasma cells. It has been used widely as a marker to fractionate different B-lineage differentiation stages. CD24 has been found on a variety of other hematopoietic and neural cell types and is now classified as a costimulatory molecule. The CD24 molecule, also known as HSA, is composed mostly of carbohydrate with a protein core of only 31-35 amino acids in the human and 27 amino acids in the mouse. CD24 is now included in the large group of phosphatidylinositol-anchored membrane proteins. Studies with purified CD24 applied to latex beads have demonstrated a self-binding property suggesting that the molecule is capable of promoting homotypic aggregation, binding, and cell adhesion. This is supported by earlier observations of the blockade of B cell lymphoblast aggregation with an anti-CD24 monoclonal antibody. Recent studies of murine CD24 have assigned a role for CD24 as a ligand for P-selectin, a calcium-dependent lectin.

Description:
FAM161B is a 647 amino acid protein that belongs to the FAM161 family. The gene that encodes FAM161B consists of approximately 16,413 bases and maps to human chromosome 14q24.3. Housing over 700 genes, chromosome 14 comprises nearly 3.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 14 encodes the Presenilin 1 (PSEN1) gene, which is one of the three key genes associated with the development of Alzheimer’s disease. The SERPINA1 gene is also located on chromosome 14 and, when defective, leads to the genetic disorder α1-antitrypsin deficiency, which is characterized by severe lung complications and liver dysfunction. An inversion of the long arm of chromosome 14 is thought to be involved in T-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a cancer that affects T lymphocytes.

Description:
Lysosomal Associated Membrane Protein 2 (LAMP2) is a major component of lysosomal membranes. LAMP2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein about 110kDa. Mature human LAMP2 consists of a 347 amino acid (aa) intralumenal domain, a 24 aa transmembrane segment, and a 35 aa cytoplasmic tail . The lumenal domain is organized into two heavily N-glycosylated regions. Alternate splicing generates a human LAMP2 isoform (LAMP2B) with a substituted juxtamembrane lumenal region, cytoplasmic tail and transmenmbrane segment.LAMP2 itself can cleavage lysosomal luminal domain and degradation lysosomal. In the help of chaperone HSC73,LAMP2 mediates the lysosomal uptake in complex with cargo proteins and is required for the lysosomal destruction of autophagic vacuoles.

4E-BP1(eukaryotic translation Initiation Factor 4E Binding Protein 1),also called ELF4EBP1/BP-1/PHAS-I ,which is located on chromosome 8p12, with 118-amino acid protein (about 13 kDa). Binding of eIF4EBP1 to eIF4E is reversible and is dependent on the phosphorylation status of eIF4EBP1. Non phosphorylated eIF4EBP1 will bind strongly to eIF4E while(24 kDa), the phosphorylated form will not. Akt, TOR, MAP kinase, S6 kinase, and Cdc2 are known kinases capable of inactivating eIF4EBP1 binding to eIF4E by phosphorylating either threonines 35, 45, 69 or serine 64. Although, not all phosphorylation events equally block the eIF4EBP1-eIF4E interaction.

Acridine orange (AO) stains dsDNA green (525 nm) and RNA or single stranded DNA red (650 nm). The dye is membrane-permeant and its nucleic acid binding property has been used for cell-cycle studies. Acridine orange has also been used for the detection of microorganisms in cerebrospinal fluid and other clinical specimens. We offer a highly purified form of acridine orange while most of the other commercially available grades of AO are either in zinc chloride complex form or of low purity.

Description:
CD14/TLR4 antagonist. Inhibitor of sterile inflammation. Synthetic TLR4/CD14 ligand with TLR4 modulating activities in vitro, and conferring protection against TLR4/CD14-mediated tissue damage and inflammation in vivo. Useful to explore CD14- dependent and TLR4-independent pathways and TLR4 activation by endogenous ligands (e.g. hyaluronic acid oligosaccharides, oxLDL, HMGB1) in sterile inflammation. Shown to inhibit neuropathic pain, secondary necrosis of acute drug-induced liver failure and vascular inflammation, and abdominal aortic aneurysm by blocking non-hematopoietic TLR4 signaling. Useful tool, where inhibition of sterile (auto-) inflammation is desired, without compromising TLR4’s key role in the defense of pathogens.
