Description:   The RB6-8C5 monoclonal antibody reacts with the mouse Ly-6G (also known as Gr-1). The Ly-6G protein is a myeloid differentiation antigen of 21-25 kDa, expressed in a regulated manner by the myeloid lineage in the bone marrow, where the level of antigen expression is correlated with the granulocyte maturation and differentiation. In the bone marrow, the antigen is not expressed by the erythroid cells. From the peripheric cells, RB6-8C5 binds with monocytes, neutrophils and eosinophils. As a marker for the mouse monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes, the RB6-8C5 antibody is usually combined with M1/70, a macrophage labeling antibody (Anti-CD11b), for phenotypic analysis.

Description:   The MEL-14 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with L- selectin (CD62L), a receptor with lectin-like and Epidermal Growth Factor-like domains. The weight of the CD62L molecules depend on their origin: 74 kDa (on lymphocytes) or 95 kDa (on neutrophils). In the Mouseorganism, CD62L can be expressed by most thymocytes, on subsets of B and T lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and neutrophils. The L-selectin binds sulfated, fucosylated, and glycosylated glycoproteins (MadCAM-1, GLYCAM-1, and CD 34). It mediates the migration of lymphocytes to the site of inflammation and their return to the peripheral lymphoid tissues and to the HEV (high endothelial venules). In vitro, L-selectin inhibits this binding and the lymphocyte extravasation into peripheral lymph nodes.

Description:   The OKT8 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with human CD8α molecule, a tyPEI transmembrane glycoprotein of 32-34 kDa. CD8α is a member of the Ig superfamily, expressed as a homodimer (CD8αα) or as a heterodimer (CD8αβ). CD8+ αβ T lymphocytes express both CD8αα and CD8αβ, while some T lymphocytes and the natural killer cells express only the homodimers. CD8 binds to MHC class I and influences the development and the activation of T lymphocytes.OKT8, RPA-T8, and HIT8a antibodies do not compete with each other for binding to peripheral leukocytes, meaning that that they do not recognize the same epitoPEor block each other by steric hindrance.

Description:   The 1D3 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein, a member of the Ig superfamily and a B cell-lineage differentiation antigen expressed by all the B lymphocyte development stages, except for the terminally differentiated plasma cells. CD19 associates with CD21, CD81 and MHC class II to form a multi-molecular complex that initiates the mature B lymphocyte activation by interaction with the B-cell receptors. CD 19 enhances the B cell proliferation, development and activation, and the maturation of memory B cells. In CD19-deficient mice, the generation and maturation of B lymphocytes in the bone marrow and periphery are affected.

Description:   The RIK-2 monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD253, otherwise known as the TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) or tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily member 10 (TNFSF10). TRAIL is a cytotoxic protein, which activates rapid apoptosis in tumor cells, but not in normal cells. TRAIL-induced apoptosis is achieved through binding to two death-signaling receptors, DR4 and DR5. These receptors belong to the TNFR superfamily of transmembrane proteins, and contain a cytoplasmic "death domain", which activates the cell's apoptotic machinery. The RIK-2 antibody is reported to block cellular apoptosis induced by TRAIL.

Description:   The CD28.2 monoclonal antibody specifically binds with the human 44 kDa homodimeric trans-membrane glycoprotein CD28, expressed on the surface of most mature T lymphocytes, plasma cells, and thymocytes. CD28 is a ligand for B7-1 (CD80) and B7-2 (CD86), a co-stimulator of T lymphocytes, and enhances the interaction between T and B lymphocytes. It has been reported that the T lymphocytes stimulation to produce IL-2 depends on the monoclonal antibody involved, which suggests that the CD28 molecule presents some subregions with distinct functions. The CD28.2 antibody induces Ca2+ influx in Jurkat T lymphocytes. Other studies have shown that CD28 is involved in the signal transduction.

Description:   The 4S.B3 is a neutralizing antibody that binds with the human Interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) protein, a 15 -17 kDa cytokine with significant antibacterial, antiviral, and antitumoral properties. When secreted by natural killer cells and by natural killer T lymphocytes, it regulates the immune response and supports adaptive immunity when produced by Th1 or CD8+ T lymphocytes. IFN-γ plays an important role in the activation, the growth, and the differentiation of the macrophages, B and T lymphocytes, and natural killer cells. It interacts synergically with other cytokines, such as TNF-α, to inhibit proliferation of normal and transformed cells. IFN- γ is the primary cytokine that defines Th-1 cells. The biological activity of IFN-γ is not affected by glycosylation.

Description:   The CBRM1/5 monoclonal antibody binds with the 165 kDa human adhesion glycoprotein CD11b, which forms, together with the 95 kDa CD18 (integrin β2) a complex known as Mac-1. CD11b is expressed on the surface of activated lymphocytes, a subset of natural killer cells, granulocytes, and monocytes. It functions as a receptor in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions and as a receptor for iC3b, ICAM-1, ICAM-2, and ICAM-3 intercellular adhesion molecules. The CBRM1/5 specifically reacts with the activation-specific epitope of the Mac-1 molecule, in the I domain on the alpha chain near the ligand binding site. The antibody has been reported to inhibit the cellular adhesion mediated by Mac-1.

Description:   The PC61.5 antibody specifically reacts with mouse CD25, the 55 kDa low-affinity Interleukin-2 Receptor α chain (IL-2R α), expressed on early progenitors of T and B lineage, and on B and T cells. Together with CD122 (IL-2 Receptor β) and CD 132 (IL-2 Receptor γc, the common gamma chain), CD25 forms high-affinity receptor complexes for IL-2. Resting B and T cells and natural killer cells do not express IL-2Rα. Cd25 is also expressed on the dendritic cells, and it enhances lymphocyte differentiation and activation. The PC61.5 antibody blocks the binding of IL-2 to both high-affinity and low-affinity receptors.

Description:   The RPA-T4 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the CD4 receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). CD4 is a 59 kDa single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein that expressed on the surface of most of the thymocytes, T-helper cells, and in low levels on monocytes and macrophages. CD4 is a co-receptor in the antigen-induced T cell activation, together with the MHC class II. The RPA-T4 antibody is capable of blocking HIV binding and inhibiting syncytium formation, by binding to the D1 domain of the CD4 antigen. The OKT4 and the RPA-T4 monoclonal antibodies recognize different epitopes of CD4 and they do not exhibit cross-block binding.
