Description:
MDC is a CC chemokine that is produced in B cells, macrophages, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, activated NK cells and CD4 T cells. It signals through the CCR4 receptor. MDC chemoattracts monocytes, dendritic cells and NK cells, and exerts HIV-suppressive activity. The 67 amino acid form of MDC displays reduced chemoattractant activity, but retains HIV-suppressive activity. Recombinant Murine MDC (CCL22) is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.

Description:
The leucine-rich (LRR) repeat is a 20-30 amino acid motif that forms a hydrophobic Alpha/Beta horseshoe fold, allowing it to accommodate several leucine residues within a tightly packed core. All LRR repeats contain a variable segment and a highly conserved segment, the latter of which accounts for 11 or 12 residues of the entire LRR motif. LRRTM1 (leucine rich repeat transmembrane neuronal 1) is a 522 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and contains ten LRR repeats. Expressed predominately in forebrain tissue, LRRTM1 is thought to be involved in the development of forebrain structures, specifically by influencing axon trafficking, as well as neuronal differentiation and connectivity. Human LRRTM1 shares 96% amino acid identity with its mouse counterpart, suggesting a conserved role between species. Defects in the gene encoding LRRTM1 may be associated with the pathogenesis of several common neurodevelopmental disorders.

Description:
Membrane-permeant AM ester form of Fluo-3 that can be loaded into cells via incubation. Fluo-3 AM ester itself does not bind Ca2 , but it is readily hydrolyzed to Fluo-3 by endogenous esterases once the dye is inside the cells. An important application of Fluo-3 AM ester is its use in high throughput drug screening.

Description:
Members of the class-III pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family, such as AGXT2, catalyze the conversion of glyoxylate to glycine using L-alanine as the amino donor. AGXT2 protects from asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA)-induced inhibition in nitric oxide (NO) production. Elevated blood concentrations of ADMA, a methyl derivate of the amino acid arginine and an endogenous inhibitor of nitric oxide (NO) synthase, is produced by the physiological degradation of methylated proteins and is found in association with diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure and atherosclerosis. AGXT2L2 (alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase 2-like 2) is a 450 amino acid pyridoxal phosphate that exists as a homotetramer. Belonging to the class-III pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family, AGXT2L2 localizes to the mitochondria and exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5q35.3, AGXT2L2 may have similar functions as AGXT2.
