Description:
p53, a DNA-binding, oligomerization domain- and transcription activation domain-containing tumor suppressor, upregulates growth arrest and apoptosis-related genes in response to stress signals, thereby influencing programmed cell death, cell differentiation, and cell cycle control mechanisms. p53 localizes to the nucleus, yet can be chaperoned to the cytoplasm by the negative regulator, MDM2. MDM2 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that is upregulated in the presence of active p53, where it poly-ubiquitinates p53 for proteasome targeting. p53 fluctuates between latent and active DNA-binding conformations and is differentially activated through posttranslational modifications, including phosphorylation and acetylation. Mutations in the DNA-binding domain (DBD) of p53, amino acids 110-286, can compromise energetically-favorable association with cis elements and are implicated in several human cancers.

Description:
Human sDLL-1 comprises the extracellular signaling domain of DLL1, a member of a structurally-related family of single-pass type I trans-membrane proteins that serve as ligands for Notch receptors. It is expressed in the heart and pancreas, and to a lesser extent in various other tissues. DLL-1 functions to specifically activate the Notch-1 and Notch-2 receptors. The Notch signaling pathway regulates endothelial-cell differentiation, proliferation and apoptosis, and is essential for the development, maintenance and remodeling of the vascular system. DLL-1 suppresses differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells into the B-cell lineage while promoting differentiation to T-cell and NK cell precursors. Recombinant human sDLL-1 is a 57.0-60.0 kDa glycoprotein containing 522 amino-acid residues.

Description:
VPS53 Antibody: The sorting of acid hydrolases to lysosomes rely on mannose 6-phosphate receptors that cycle between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. The maintenance of this cycle requires the function of the mammalian Golgi-associated retrograde protein (GARP) complex which is composed of three subunits: VPS52, VPS53, and VPS54. Depletion of any of these three proteins, such as by RNAi, impairs the retrograde transport of multiple TGN proteins. VPS53 was identified as an HIV dependency factor (HDF) and plays a role in viral entry to the cell, suggesting that VPS53 may be an important drug target in HIV treatment. At least five isoforms of VPS53 are known to exist.

Description:
TRBP1 Antibody: The human trans-activation response (TAR) RNA binding protein 1 (TRBP1) was initially identified as a protein that binds to the HIV-1 TAR RNA and activates the long terminal repeat (LTR) expression in the absence and presence of the viral trans-activator Tat. This binding is enhanced by the presence of co-factors such as elongation factor 1alpha (EF-1alpha ), polypyrimidine tract-binding protein (PTB), and the chaperonin-like protein stimulator of TAR RNA-binding proteins (SRB). TRBP1 may act to disengage RNA polymerase II from TAR during transcriptional elongation if the RNA polymerase stalls at the TAR during transcriptional elongation.
