Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   5-Bromodeoxyoridine (BrdU) is an analog of thymidine (derivative of uridine) and can be incorporated specifically into DNA in place of thymidine. Cells can be pulse-labelled with BrdU, and those cells that are synthesizing DNA (in S-phase of the cell cycle) will incorporate BrdU into the DNA. MAb to BrdU can then be used to identify cells that undergo DNA synthesis during exposure to BrdU. The proportion of cells in S-phase of the cell cycle can be determined either by fluorescence microspcopy or by flow cytometric analysis.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   In the presence of inorganic orthophosphate, the platelet-derived endothelial growth factor (PD-ECGF) thymidine phosphorylase (TP) (gliostatin) catalyses the reversible phospholytic cleavage of thymidine and deoxyuridine to their corresponding bases and 2-deoxyribose-1-phosphate. It is both chemotactic and mitogenic for endothelial cells and a non-heparin binding angiogenic factor present in platelets. It is also involved in transformation of fluoropyrimidines, cytotoxic agents used in the treatment of a variety of malignancies, into active cytotoxic metabolites.

Supplier:  AFG BIOSCIENCE LLC
Description:   Mouse TP (Thymidine Phosphorylase) ELISA Kit

Supplier:  Genetex
Description:   Thymidine kinase (TK) belongs to a group of enzymes such as dihydrofolate reductase, thymidylate synthase, and DNA polymerase that are involved in DNA synthesis and precursor production. High levels of these enzymes are present in proliferating cells, and low levels are found in resting cells, due to multiple regulatory mechanisms that ensure exclusive expression of these enzymes in replicating cells. TK is responsible for catalyzing the phosphorylation of thymidine, which functions as a part of the pyrimidine salvage pathway involved in DNA synthesis. The activities of enzymes such as TK are essential for the activation of several chemotherapeutically important nucleoside analogues that are administered as prodrugs.
Supplier:  ANTIBODIES.COM LLC
Description:   Rabbit monoclonal [B29] antibody to Thymidine Glycol for IHC and ELISA with samples derived from Human.

Supplier:  AAT BIOQUEST INC
Description:   5-Bromo-2-deoxyuridine (BrdU) is an analog of thymidine, and can be incorporated into the newly synthesized DNA of replicating cells (S-phase cells).

Supplier:  ANTIBODIES.COM LLC
Description:   Recombinant rabbit monoclonal [TYMP/2890R] antibody to Thymidine Phosphorylase for IHC-P with samples derived from Human, Mouse and Rat.
Supplier:  ANTIBODIES.COM LLC
Description:   Recombinant mouse monoclonal [rTYMP/3444] antibody to Thymidine Phosphorylase for IHC-P with samples derived from Human, Mouse and Rat.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   This enzyme is involved in nucleotide metabolism: it produces dUMP, the immediate precursor of thymidine nucleotides and it decreases the intracellular concentration of dUTP so that uracil cannot be incorporated into DNA.

Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   The thymidine analogue BrdU (5-Bromo-2-Deoxyuridine), a derivative of uridine, can substitute for thymidine during DNA synthesis. The detection of BrdU incorporation into DNA provides a common method to quantify newly synthesized DNA and identify cells in the S-phase of the cell cycle. The use of BrdU incorporation in proliferation assays facilitates the study of DNA repair, sister chromatid exchange, and the cytokinetics of normal and neoplastic cells.
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   5-Chloro-2'-deoxyuridine (CldU) is a thymidine analog that is readily incorporated, following phosphorylation, into newly synthesized DNA in place of thymidine.
5-Chloro-2′-deoxyuridine (CldU) is used as a thymidine analogue to study the miscoding potential of hypochlorous acid damage to DNA and DNA precursors. When used with antibody based immunofluorescent imaging, 5-Chloro-2′-deoxyuridine incorporation may be used in protocols to identify sites of DNA replication. CldU may be used as a labeling substrate in conjunction with other halogenated uridine labeling substrates such as bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) and/or iododeoxyuridine (IdU).

Supplier:  Rockland Immunochemical
Description:   Iododeoxyuridine (5-Iodo-2'-deoxyuridine, IdU) is a synthetic thymidine nucleoside analog. IdU, like BrdU thymidine analog, is used to allow the detection of growing or proliferating cells in living tissues. During the S-phase of cell division, DNA replication occurs, and IdU can be incorporated into the newly synthesized DNA by substituting for naturally occurring thymidine. Antibodies specific for IdU are subsequently used to detect the incorporated IdU thymidine analog. This highlights cells that were actively replicating their DNA and is suggestive of actively growing cells. Antibody binding usually requires the DNA to be denatured, typically by exposing the cells to acid or heat.
