Description:   The AFS98 antibody is specific for mouse CD115, also known as Colony-Stimulating Factor-1 Receptor (CSF-1R), a 145 kDa receptor from the PDGF receptor family. Receptor activation by the ligands IL-34 or CSF-1 (M-CSF) occurs via homodimerization of CD115 and subsequent tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitination of intracellular domains. CD115 signaling promotes differentiation of myeloid precursors, as well as the continued regulation of proliferation, survival and function of mononuclear phagocytes, dendritic cells and osteoclasts. While IL-34 and CSF-1 may induce similar cellular responses, they are differentially expressed and as such exert complimentary actions via CD115.

Description:   Cytosine β-D-arabinofuranoside hydrochloride is an anti-leukemic agent. It results in DNA fragmentation and inhibition of replication. In addition this compound does not have any effects on RNA synthesis. Cytosine β-D-arabinofuranoside hydrochloride can function as a ligand which shows strong affinity and selectivity for the Translocator protein (TSPO). Studies suggest that Cytosine β-D-arabinofuranoside hydrochloride can down-regulate deoxycytidine kinase in acute myeloid leukemia murine cell lines which inhibits the phosphorylation of several deoxyribonucleosides. Furthermore, Cytosine β-D-arabinofuranoside hydrochloride can be inhibited in myeloid leukemic cells via suppression of ENT1 promoter activity, responsible for transporting Cytosine β-D-arabinofuranoside into the cell.

Supplier:  Anaspec Inc
Description:   Like human Gastrin-1 “Little Gastrin,” rat Gastrin-1 “Little Gastrin” contains 17 amino acids, but differs from human Gastrin by 3 amino acids at the C-terminus. Secretion of Gastrin is induced by food intake and causes the release of gastric acid. Synthesized by the G cells in the gastric mucosa, it is one of the major bioactive forms of Gastrin (the other bioactive form is Gastrin-34). Both Gastrin-17 and Gastrin-34 are carboxy-amidated and partially tyrosine sulfated. Binding of Gastrin to the CCK2/gastrin receptor requires carboxy-amidation, however sulfation is not necessary for binding to the receptor.
