Description:
Chloroquine Diphosphate salt is member of quinolone family, Chloroquine is a lysosomotropic agent (accumulate inside the acidic parts of the cell), this accumulation leads to inhibition of lysosomal enzymes that require an acidic pH, and prevents fusion of endosomes and lysosomes. Standard anti-malarial drug. Substrate for MRP in multidrug resistant cell line and inhibits photoaffinity labeling of MRP by quinoline-based photoactive drug IAAQ (N-[4-[1-hydroxy-2-(dibutylamino)ethyl]quinolin-8-yl]-4-azidosalicylamide).

Description:
Photo-stable fluorescent probe (Ex: ~560nm; Em: 575nm) for the detection of nitric oxide (NO) in presence of oxygen, resulting in a triazolo-rhodamine analog (DAR-4M T) that exhibits about 840-fold greater fluorescence quantum efficiency. Suitable probe for monitoring RNS production, but not NO alone. Stable in a pH range of 4-12. Detection limit ~10nM.

Description:
BICD1 was initially identified as the human homolog to Drosophila Bicaudal-D protein that forms part of the cytoskeleton and mediates the correct sorting of mRNAs for oocyte- and axis-determining factors during oogenesis. BICD1 can bind to dynein-dynactin and co-localizes with Rab6A on the trans-Golgi network and cytoplasmic vesicles, suggesting BICD1 regulates COPI-independent Golgi-ER transport. BICD1 will also interact with Rab6B, a Rab6 isoform that is expressed primarily in brain. Live cell imaging showed bi-directional movement of Rab6B structures in SK-N-SH neurites, indicating that BICD1 is involved in the Rab6B regulation of retrograde cargo transport in neuronal cells.

Description:
Hydrolyzes lysophospholipids to produce lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) in extracellular fluids. Major substrate is lysophosphatidylcholine. Also can act on sphingosylphosphphorylcholine producing sphingosine-1-phosphate, a modulator of cell motility. Can hydrolyze, in vitro, bis-pNPP, to some extent pNP-TMP, and barely ATP. Involved in several motility-related processes such as angiogenesis and neurite outgrowth. Acts as an angiogenic factor by stimulating migration of smooth muscle cells and microtubule formation. Stimulates migration of melanoma cells, probably via a pertussis toxin-sensitive G protein. May have a role in induction of parturition. Possible involvement in cell proliferation and adipose tissue development. Tumor cell motility-stimulating factor.
