Description:
Caspase-13 (also designated Evolutionarily related interleukin-1beta converting enzyme ; ERICE) involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. Might function by either activating some proteins required for cell death or inactivating proteins necessary for cell survival. [subunit] Heterodimer of a small and a large subunit. The two subunits are derived from the precursor sequence by an autocatalytic mechanism or by cleavage by Caspase-8. Mainly expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes, spleen and placenta. Belongs to peptidase family C14.

Description:
The Hit3a monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the ε chain of the CD3/T lymphocyte antigen receptor complex. The CD3 complex contains γ, δ, and ε chains, and it is part of the TCR complex, expressed by all mature T lymphocytes and by the thymocyte lineage. CD3 enhances the antigen recognition by signal transduction. The HIT3a antibody cross-links with the TCR complex, initiating the cellular activation and proliferation, but it cannot be used for intracellular CD3 staining, as it is able to stain only the surface CD3 complex.

Description:
The RM4-5 antibody reacts with mouse CD4, a 55 kDa protein which acts as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR) in its interaction with MHC Class II molecules on antigen-presenting cells. The extracellular domain of CD4 binds to the beta2-domain of MHC Class II, while its cytoplasmic tail provides a binding site for the tyrosine kinase lck, facilitating the signaling cascade that initiates T cell activation. CD4 is typically expressed on thymocytes, certain mature T cell populations such as Th17 and T regulatory (Treg) cells, as well as on dendritic cells.

Description:
This gene encodes one of several forms of glutamic acid decarboxylase, identified as a major autoantigen in insulin-dependent diabetes. The enzyme encoded is responsible for catalyzing the production of gamma aminobutyric acid from L glutamic acid. A pathogenic role for this enzyme has been identified in the human pancreas since it has been identified as an autoantibody and an autoreactive T cell target in insulin dependent diabetes. This gene may also play a role in the stiff man syndrome.

Description:
The BM8.1 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to the Mouse125 kDa F4/80 antigen, expressed by most mature macrophages. F4/80 is a transmembrane protein used as a marker of macrophages, although it is also expressed on Kupffer and Langerhans cells. The expression of F4/80 antigen is upregulated on bone marrow cells stimulated in vitro with the macrophage colony stimulating factor. The F4/80 antigen is a requirement for the induction of CD8 T cells-mediated peripheral tolerance.

The HP-3G10 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to an 80 kDa homodimer type II membrane glycoprotein from the C-type lectin superfamily, known as the human CD161 or NKR-P1A. CD161 is expressed on most natural killer cells, subsets of CD4+ and CD8+ T lymphocytes, γδ TCR T lymphocytes, a subset of CD3+ thymocytes, and especially on CD45RO+ T lymphocytes. Reports indicate that it may serve as a specific receptor for some natural killer cell targets and a possible stimulatory role.

Description:
FGF6 is a secreted heparin binding growth factor that is a member of the FGF family. Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF6 is expressed in leukemia cell lines with platelet megakaryocytic differentiation potential. It signals through FGFR 1c, 2c, and 4. The FGF6 gene displays oncogenic transforming activity when transfected into mammalian cells. The mouse homolog of this gene exhibits a restricted expression profile predominantly in the myogenic lineage, which suggested a role in muscle regeneration or differentiation.
