Catalog Number: (H-5888.1000BA)

Supplier:  Bachem Americas
Description:   (Met(O)³⁵)-Amyloid β-protein (1-42) (H-5888), in contrast to Aβ 1-42 (H-1368), has been shown to be non-toxic to 9-11 day-old rat embryonic hippocampal neuronal cultures and not to produce any protein oxidation. It has also been demonstrated that fibril formation is not affected by Met(O)³⁵. For the Nle analog see H-7308.
Catalog Number: (89146-982)

Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   Selective cell permeable inhibitor of PKCζ. Activates eNOS (NOS III) through Akt phosphorylation and can be considered as a nitric oxide production activator in endothelial cells.
Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   The Isocitrate dehydrogenase cytoplasmic enzyme is a homodimer of 416 residues that belongs to the isocitrate and isopropylmalate dehydrogenases family. IDHC catalyzes the third step of the citric acid cycle, which involves the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate, forming ketoglutarate and CO₂ in a two step reaction. The first step involves the oxidation of isocitrate to the intermediate oxalosuccinate, while the second step involves the production of ketoglutarate. During this process, either NADH or NADPH is produced along with CO₂. Ca²⁺ can bind to IDHC as a complex with isocitrate, acting as a competitive inhibitor of Mg²⁺. The IDHC enzyme is inactivated by phosphorylation at Ser-113 and contains a clasp-like domain wherein both polypeptide chains in the dimer interlock. IDHC is expressed in a wide range of species and also in organisms that lack a complete citric acid cycle.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Members of the class-III pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family, such as AGXT2, catalyze the conversion of glyoxylate to glycine using L-alanine as the amino donor. AGXT2 protects from asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA)-induced inhibition in nitric oxide (NO) production. Elevated blood concentrations of ADMA, a methyl derivate of the amino acid arginine and an endogenous inhibitor of nitric oxide (NO) synthase, is produced by the physiological degradation of methylated proteins and is found in association with diabetes, hypertension, congestive heart failure and atherosclerosis. AGXT2L2 (alanine-glyoxylate aminotransferase 2-like 2) is a 450 amino acid pyridoxal phosphate that exists as a homotetramer. Belonging to the class-III pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent aminotransferase family, AGXT2L2 localizes to the mitochondria and exists as three alternatively spliced isoforms. Encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 5q35.3, AGXT2L2 may have similar functions as AGXT2.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   SESTRIN2, also known as Hi95, is a member of the sestrin family of PA26-related proteins and is induced following DNA damage or oxidative stress. SESTRIN2 and the related protein SESTRIN1 interact with the NRF2 suppressor KEAP1, the autophagy substrate p62 and the ubiquitin ligase RBX1 to protect cells against oxidative stress by activating NRF2 and promoting the p62-dependent autophagic degradation of KEAP1. SESTRIN2 also negatively regulates TOR signaling by activating AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and TSC2 phosphorylation , thereby protecting cells against energetic stress-induced death.
Supplier:  Restek
Description:   Bonded phases are more resistant to oxidation than non-bonded phases because of the stronger intermolecular forces produced by cross-linking.
Supplier:  Strem Chemicals Inc
Description:   CAS #: 12028-48-7. Size: 25g.
Supplier:  Medicom

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is implicated in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through a cGMP-mediated signal transduction pathway. NO mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in coronary vessels and promotes blood clotting through the activation of platelets. May play a significant role in normal and abnormal limb development.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   ECHS1 functions in the second step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway. It catalyzes the hydration of 2-trans-enoyl-coenzyme A (CoA) intermediates to L-3-hydroxyacyl-CoAs. ECHS1 is a member of the hydratase/isomerase superfamily. It localizes to the mitochondrial matrix. The protein encoded by this gene functions in the second step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway. It catalyzes the hydration of 2-trans-enoyl-coenzyme A (CoA) intermediates to L-3-hydroxyacyl-CoAs. The gene product is a member of the hydratase/isomerase superfamily. It localizes to the mitochondrial matrix. Transcript variants utilizing alternative transcription initiation sites have been described in the literature.
