Supplier:  Hardy Diagnostics
Description:   Amies media is stuart's original media formula modified by replacing the glycerophosphate in the original formula for an inorganic phosphate buffer.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Receptor for the lysosphingolipid sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P). S1P is a bioactive lysophospholipid that elicits diverse physiological effect on most types of cells and tissues. When expressed in rat HTC4 hepatoma cells, is capable of mediating S1P-induced cell proliferation and suppression of apoptosis.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This monoclonal antibody is part of a new panel of reagents, which recognizes subcellular organelles or compartments of human cells. These markers may be useful in identification of these organelles in cells, tissues, and biochemical preparations. This MAb recognizes the double stranded DNA in human cells. It can be used to stain the nuclei in cell or tissue preparations and can be used as a nuclear marker in human cells. This MAb produces a homogeneous staining pattern in the nucleus of normal and malignant cells.,Double Stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (ds DNA) is the genetic material of all cells and many viruses and is a polymer of nucleotides. The monomer consists of phosphorylated 2-deoxyribose N-glycosidically linked to one of four bases, adenine, cytosine, guanine or thymine. These are linked together by 3',5'-phosphodiester bridges. In the Watson-Crick double-helix model, two complementary strands are wound in a right-handed helix and held together by hydrogen bonds between complementary base pairs.

Description:   This MAb recognizes a protein of 165 kDa, identified as carbamoyl phosphate synthetase 1 (CPS1). This mitochondrial enzyme catalyzes synthesis of carbamoyl phosphate from ammonia and bicarbonate. This reaction is the first committed step of the urea cycle, which is important in the removal of excess urea from cells.Deficiency of CPS1 is an autosomal recessive disorder that causes hyperammonemia. CPS1 is a hepatocyte specific protein that localizes to the mitochondria of hepatocytes. It is a sensitive marker for distinguishing hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) from other metastatic carcinomas as well as cholangio-carcinomas. HCC s occur primarily in the stomach, but they are also found in many other organs. CPS1 may also be a useful marker for intestinal metaplasia. Reportedly, strong expression of CPS1 correlates with smaller tumor size and longer patient survival. Occasionally, CPS1 is also found in gastric carcinomas as well as in a few other non-hepatic tumors.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Catalytic subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate which plays a key role in initiation and maturation of autophagosomes. Involved in the transport of lysosomal enzyme precursors to lysosomes. Required for the abcission step in cytokinesis. Required for transport from early to late endosomes.

Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Tamatinib effectively inhibits BCR signaling in vivo, resulting in reduced proliferation and survival of the malignant B cells and significantly prolonged survival of the treated animals.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   SATB1 binds to DNA at special AT-rich sequences at nuclear matrix- or scaffold-associated regions. SATB1 was thought to recognize the sugar-phosphate structure of double-stranded DNA

Supplier:  Genetex
Description:   Calcitonin is a peptide hormone synthesized by the parafollicular cells of the thyroid. It causes a rapid, but short lived, reduction in serum calcium and phosphate by promoting the incorporation of those ions in the bones. This effect is opposite to that of parathyroid hormone.

Supplier:  Rockland Immunochemical
Description:   F(ab')2 Anti-Rat IgG Antibody has been assayed against 1.0 µg of Rat IgG in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Protein kinases are enzymes that transfer a phosphate group from a phosphate donor onto an acceptor amino acid in a substrate protein. By this basic mechanism, protein kinases mediate most of the signal transduction in eukaryotic cells, regulating cellular metabolism, transcription, cell cycle progression, cytoskeletal rearrangement and cell movement, apoptosis, and differentiation. The protein kinase family is one of the largest families of proteins in eukaryotes, classified in 8 major groups based on sequence comparison of their tyrosine (PTK) or serine/threonine (STK) kinase catalytic domains. Epidermal Growth factor receptor (EGFR) is the prototype member of the type 1 receptor tyrosine kinases. EGFR overexpression in tumors indicates poor prognosis and is observed in tumors of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, stomach and in squamous cell carcinoma.

Description:   The inositol polyphosphate 5-phosphatases selectively remove the phosphate from the 5-position of various phosphatidylinositols, which generate second messengers in response to extracellular signals. Synaptojanins are characterized by an N-terminal SAC1-like sequence, a central 5-phosphate domain, and a unique C-terminal sequence and have been shown to use phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate as a substrate. Synaptojanins exist as two isoforms, synaptojanin 1 and 2, which differ in the C-terminal domain, and each isoform has multiple variants produced by alternative splicing. Synaptojanin 1 is expressed as two major forms: the shorter is found in brain while the longer is expressed in peripheral tissues. Eight splice variants of synaptojanin 2 have been detected, including a brain specific isoform. Synaptojanins are thought to participate in the endocytosis of synaptic vesicles and the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   AGPAT2 is a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. The protein is located within the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid, the second step in de novo phospholipid biosynthesis. Mutations in its gene have been associated with congenital generalized lipodystrophy (CGL), or Berardinelli-Seip syndrome, a disease characterized by a near absence of adipose tissue and severe insulin resistance. This gene encodes a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. The protein is located within the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid, the second step in de novo phospholipid biosynthesis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congenital generalized lipodystrophy (CGL), or Berardinelli-Seip syndrome, a disease characterized by a near absence of adipose tissue and severe insulin resistance. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.
