Description:
Tricine, a zwitterionic buffer, was first prepared by good for use as a buffer for chloroplast reactions. It is structurally similar to Tris, but is much less inhibitory at high concentrations. The name tricine comes from tris and glycine from which it was derived.

Description:
PlGF-1 is an angiogenic factor that belongs to the cysteine-knot superfamily of growth factors. PlGF-1 is expressed in placental tissues, the colon, and mammary carcinomas. It signals through the VEGFR-1/FLT1 receptor, and stimulates endothelial cell proliferation and migration. Recombinant Rat PlGF-1 is a 30.3 kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric protein of two 135 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Description:
Insulin is a pancreatic hormone that regulates glucose and is involved in the synthesis of protein and fat. It increases cell permeability to monosaccharides, amino acids and fatty acids. It accelerates glycolysis, the pentose phosphate cycle, and glycogen synthesis in liver. Heterodimer of a B chain and an A chain linked by two disulfide bonds.Belongs to the insulin family. The insulin-link growth factors, IGF-I and IGF-II (also desinated somatomedin C and multiplication stimulating activator, respectvely), share approximatly 76% sequence identity and are 50% related to pro-insulin.IGF-I and IGF-II are nonglycosylated, single chain proteins of 70 and 76 amino acids in length, respectivelly. IGF-I functions as an autocrine regulator of growth in vaious, whereas the function of IGF-II is less well defined.

Description:
BOLA1 (BolA-like protein 1), also known as CGI-143, is a member of the BolA/yrbA family of proteins. Members of this family are homologs of the Escherichia coli protein, BolA. BolA-like proteins are evolutionarily conserved from prokaryotes to eukaryotes and are believed to play a role in cell-cycle regulation or cell proliferation possibly via some sort of transcription regulation of other genes. In addition, BolA-like proteins may contain nucleic-acid binding properties, as is suggested by a fold structure that is similar to the KH-fold, a motif known to participate in nucleic-acid binding. Characteristic of BolA-like proteins which typically consist of approximately 100 amino acids, BOLA1 is a 137 amino acid protein.

Description:
ACAA1 is a 424 amino acid member of the thiolase family of enzymes and is involved in lipid metabolism. Localized to the peroxisome, ACAA1 catalyzes the conversion of acyl-CoA and acetyl-CoA to 3-oxoacyl-CoA in the fatty acid oxidation pathway. ACAA1 shows high enzymatic activity in liver, kidney, intestine and white adipose tissue in rats, where it exists as two types, namely type A and type B. Human ACAA1 shares 86% amino acid identity with its rat counterpart, suggesting a conserved function for ACAA1 among different species.
