Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Nonselective, voltage-independent cation channel mediating sodium and calcium ion influx in response to oxidative stress. Extracellular calcium passes through the channel and acts from the intracellular side as a positive regulator in channel activation. Activated by ADP-ribose, nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD(+)), reactive nitrogen species and arachidonic acid. Inactivated by intracellular ATP. Confers susceptibility to cell death following oxidative stress. Isoform 2 does not seem to be regulated by ADPR. Has ADP-ribose pyrophosphatase activity.

Description:   Major vault protein (MVP) is identical to lung resistance related protein (LRP). Its shape is reminiscent of the nucleopore central plug. Treatment of cells with estradiol increases the amount of MVP in nuclear extract. The hormone-dependent interaction of vaults with ER is prevented in vitro by sodium molybdate. Antibodies to progesterone and glucocortoid receptors are also able to co-immunoprecipitate the MVP. Reportedly, the lung resistance related protein (LRP) is identical to human MVP. LRP is overexpressed in many neoplastic tissues and cells lines indicating a poor response to chemotherapy.
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   Product is fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC "Isomer I")-conjugated goat affinity purified antibody to mouse IgG (whole molecule) and buffer salts.

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is a glycoprotein antibody that regulates immune responses such as phagocytosis and is also involved in the development of autoimmune diseases. Mouse IgGs have four distinct isotypes, namely IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. IgG1 regulates complement fixation in mice. Anti-Mouse IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody reacts with normal mouse serum and all mouse IgGs.

Fluorescein-Conjugated Goat Affinity Purified Antibody to mouse IgG (whole molecule) is used in immunostaining of acetone-fixed frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. It is suitable for use as a reagent in immunofluorescence assays (IFA), cell staining (fluorescent microscopy and cell sorting), tissue staining, and blot immunostaining. Use of these affinity purified antibodies is recommended to avoid non-specific binding from the inherent antibodies of host animals. (Note: F(ab')2 fragments are recommended for staining of cells or tissues which contain Fc receptors).

Antibody and FITC are conjugated under defined conditions to obtain the specified molar ratio (3-6 mol/mol). Conjugated protein is purified by gel filtration. The product is dialyzed into 0.02M sodium phosphate, 0.14M sodium chloride, pH 7.3, with 0.05% sodium azide and 10% glycerol (v/v), adjusted to standard titer, filtered through a 0.22 μm filter, and vialed.

The total protein is measured by absorbance (A280 nm); F/P ratio is calculated using absorbance at 491.5 nm. Antibody titer of the affinity purified antibody is standardized by equivalence-point precipitation. The affinity purified antibody is tested for purity at 10 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis; No trace of albumin is detected. Antibody activity to non-immunoglobulin serum proteins is not present.

Description:   Amiloride-sensitive amine oxidase (AOC1) belongs to the copper/topaquinone oxidase family. The protein exists as homodimer by disulfide and mainly located in placenta and kidney. AOC1 catalyzes the degradation of compounds such as putrescine, histamine, spermine, and spermidine, substances involved in allergic and immune responses, cell proliferation, tissue differentiation, tumor formation, and possibly apoptosis. Placental DAO is thought to play a role in the regulation of the female reproductive function. The activity of this protein can be inhibited by amiloride in a competitive manner. It is inhibited by amiloride, a diuretic that acts by closing epithelial sodium ion channels.

Description:   Fluorescein-conjugated Goat IgG fraction to Rabbit IgG is the lyophilized powder of fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC "Isomer I")-conjugated goat IgG fraction to rabbit IgG (whole molecule) and buffer salts.

IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Rabbit IgGs against target proteins are often used as primary antibodies in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-rabbit IgGs conjugated to a detectable substrate are useful tools for the analysis of target proteins. Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody reacts with rabbit serum and rabbit IgG.

Fluorescein-conjugated Goat IgG fraction to Rabbit IgG is used as a reagent in immunofluorescence assays (IFA), cell staining (fluorescent microscopy and cell sorting), tissue staining, and blot immunostaining. (Note: F(ab')2 fragments are recommended for staining of cells or tissues which contain Fc receptors. Affinity purified antibodies are recommended to avoid non-specific binding from the inherent antibodies of host animals).

The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure with bovine albumin as the standard; F/P ratio is calculated using absorbance at 491.5nm. Antibody titer of the IgG fraction is standardized by equivalence-point precipitation. The IgG fraction is tested for purity and specificity at 40 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis. The product is mostly goat IgG; no trace of albumin is detected.

Description:   Adrenomedullin (ADM), a vasodilator produced by most contractile cells, is characterized by persistent hypotensive activity. ADM is involved in the regulation of fluid and electrolyte homeostasis and in the maintenance of cardiovascular functioning. In hypertensive patients, the level of ADM in plasma is up-regulated. Natriuresis is a common systemic manifestation of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. ADM has strong natriuretic actions. ADM-induced natriuresis is caused by an increase in glomerular filtration rate and a decrease in distal tubular sodium reabsorption. ADM is present both in the periphery and brain, and can exert central effects such as decreasing food ingestion.

Description:   Renin is also known as REN and angiotensinogenase, is a circulating enzyme that participates in the body's renin-angiotensin system (RAS), and plays an essential role in the elevation of arterial blood pressure and increased sodium retention by the kidney. Renin activates the renin-angiotensin system by cleaving angiotensinogen, produced by the liver, to yield angiotensin I, which is further converted into angiotensin II by ACE, the angiotensin-converting enzyme primarily within the capillaries of the lungs. Renin is secreted from kidney cells, which are activated via signaling from the macula densa, which responds to the rate of fluid flow through the distal tubule, by decreases in renal perfusion pressure (through stretch receptors in the vascular wall), and by sympathetic nervous stimulation, mainly through beta-1 receptor activation. Renin can bind to ATP6AP2, which results in a fourfold increase in the conversion of angiotensinogen to angiotensin I over that shown by soluble renin. In addition, renin binding results in phosphorylation of serine and tyrosine residues of ATP6AP2. The level of renin mRNA appears to be modulated by the binding of HADHB, HuR and CP1 to a regulatory region in the 3' UTR. An over-active renin-angiotension system leads to vasoconstriction and retention of sodium and water. These effects lead to hypertension. Therefore, renin inhibitors can be used for the treatment of hypertension.

Description:   Serine-type endopeptidase involved in atrial natriuretic peptide hormone (NPPA) processing. Converts through proteolytic cleavage the non-functional propeptide NPPA into the active hormone, thereby regulating blood pressure in heart and promoting natriuresis, diuresis and vasodilation. Proteolytic cleavage of pro-NPPA also plays a role in female pregnancy by promoting trophoblast invasion and spiral artery remodeling in uterus. Also acts as a regulator of sodium reabsorption in kidney. May also process pro-NPPB the B-type natriuretic peptide. Isoform 2: has weaker endopeptidase activity compared to isoform 1.
