Description:
Functions as a receptor for membrane-bound ligands Jagged1, Jagged2 and Delta1 to regulate cell-fate determination. Upon ligand activation through the released notch intracellular domain (NICD) it forms a transcriptional activator complex with RBPJ/RBPSUH and activates genes of the enhancer of split locus. Affects the implementation of differentiation, proliferation and apoptotic programs (By similarity). Involved in bone remodeling and homeostasis. In collaboration with RELA/p65 enhances NFATc1 promoter activity and positively regulates RANKL-induced osteoclast differentiation.

Description:
Steroid receptor RNA activator 1 (SRA1), also known as seroid receptor RNA activator protein (SRAP) or SRA, is involved in modulating the activity of multiple transcription factors including the estrogen receptor (ER) . It may play a role in tumorigenesis . The SRA1 gene encodes both SRA1 protein and a non-coding functional RNA that functions as part of a ribonucleoprotein complex activating steroid receptor induced transcription. This polyclonal antibody recognizes endogenous SRA1 isoforms which migrate as a doublet on SDS-PAGE gels .

Description:
Orphan receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) that plays a role in epithelial cell differentiation and regionalization of the proximal epididymal epithelium. May activate several downstream signaling pathways related to cell differentiation, proliferation, growth and survival including the PI3 kinase-mTOR signaling pathway. Mediates the phosphorylation of PTPN11, an activator of this pathway. May also phosphorylate and activate the transcription factor STAT3 to control anchorage-independent cell growth. Mediates the phosphorylation and the activation of VAV3, a guanine nucleotide exchange factor regulating cell morphology. May activate other downstream signaling proteins including AKT1, MAPK1, MAPK3, IRS1 and PLCG2.

Description:
The mammalian transient receptor potential (TRP) superfamily can be divided into three major families including the "canonical TRP" (TRPC) family. The seven members of this family share the activation through PLC-coupled receptors and have been suggested to be components of receptor-regulated cation channels in different cell types. Furthermore, the members of the TRPC3/6/7 subfamily can be activated by diacylglycerol analogs, suggesting a possible mechanism of activation of these channels by PLC-coupled receptors. TRPC3 encodes a Ca2+-permeant channel that is agonist-activated but not store-operated or directly receptor-activated. TRPC3 physically interacts with TRPC6 and TRPC7 and forms functional tetrameric channels.

Description:
PTEN (phosphatase and tensin homologue deleted on chromosome ten) is a dual-specificity phosphatase (with both protein and lipid phosphatase activity) first identified as a tumor suppressor gene. PTEN indirectly activates the AKT/PI3K pathway, an important signaling pathway for cell growth and proliferation by keeping levels of the second messenger PIP3 low, thereby preventing phosphoinositide-dependent kinase-1 (PDK-1) from phosphorylating and activating AKT. Expression of wild-type PTEN causes growth arrest in many cancer cell lines, but expression of a PTEN protein containing a mutation that blocks its lipid phosphatase activity failed to suppress growth of glioma cell lines suggesting that the tumor suppressive effect of PTEN is mediated solely by its lipid phosphatase activity. Other activities include the inhibition of insulin stimulated MAPK activation by blocking the insulin-receptor substrate (IRS)-1 phosphorylation and assembly of the IRS-1/Grb2/Sos complex.

Description:
Voltage-modulated Ca(2+)-activated, monovalent cation channel (VCAM) that mediates a transient membrane depolarization and plays a central role in taste transduction. Monovalent-specific, non-selective cation channel that mediates the transport of Na(+), K(+) and Cs(+) ions equally well. Activated directly by increases in intracellular Ca(2+), but is impermeable to it. Gating is voltage-dependent and displays rapid activation and deactivation kinetics upon channel stimulation even during sustained elevations in Ca(2+). Also activated by a fast intracellular Ca(2+) increase in response to inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate-producing receptor agonists. The channel is blocked by extracellular acidification. External acidification has 2 effects, a fast reversible block of the current and a slower irreversible enhancement of current inactivation. Is a highly temperature-sensitive, heat activated channel showing a steep increase of inward currents at temperatures between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius. Heat activation is due to a shift of the voltage-dependent activation curve to negative potentials. Activated by arachidonic acid in vitro. May be involved in perception of bitter, sweet and umami tastes. May also be involved in sensing semiochemicals.

Description:
The ILK protein is important in different biological pathways such as cell adhesion, anchorage-dependent cell cycle progression, oncogenic transformation, and growth factor signaling. The kinase activity of ILK is low in non-activated cells; its activity is stimulated by cell-ECM interactions and by certain growth factors. 3 Negative regulation of ILK is mediated by two phosphatases: PTEN, a tumor suppressor lipid sphatase, and ILKAP, a PP2C protein phosphatase. In tumor cells that do not express PTEN protein, ILK is constitutively active.
