Description:   The claudin superfamily consists of many structurally related proteins that are important structural and functional components of tight junctions in paracellular transport. Claudins are located in both epithelial and endothelial cells in all tight junction-bearing tissues. Claudins, which consist of four transmembrane domains and two extracellular loops, make up tight junction strands. It is suggested that the claudin family of proteins regulate transport through tight junctions via differential discrimination for solute size and charge. Claudin expression is often highly restricted to specific regions of different tissues and may have an important role in transcellular transport through tight junctions. Claudin-22, also known as CLDN22, is a 220 amino acid member of the claudin family that participates in tight junction-specific obliteration of the intercellular space through calcium-independent cell-adhesion activity.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Chloride channels (CLCs) regulate cellular traffic of chloride ions, a critical component of all living cells. CLCs are involved in membrane potential stabilization, signal transduction, cell volume regulation and organic solute transport. The putative 247 amino acid protein chloride intracellular channel 2 (CLIC2), also designated XAP121, shares 60% identity with the CLIC1 protein and demonstrates expression in only fetal liver and adult skeletal muscle tissues. The CLIC2 gene maps to chromosome Xq28 and contains 6 exons. Because a direct association exists between a number of human chloride channel genes and a range of hereditary diseases, CLIC2 is a potential candidate for one of the many diseases linked to Xq28. The hereditary form of incontinentia pigmenti (IP2), for example, is a rare disorder characterized by abnormalities of the tissues and organs derived from the ectoderm and neuroectoderm that has been linked to Xq28

Description:   Used to detect both single- and double-stranded nucleic acids (both DNA and RNA). Does not intercollate into single-stranded DNA very well; therefore, the fluorescence of single-stranded DNA is relatively poor in comparison to double-stranded DNA. The recommended final concentration of ethidium bromide in agarose gels and electrophoresis buffers is 0.5µg/mL.

Supplier:  BioVendor
Description:   EndoTrap® HD removes endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides/LPS) from aqueous solutions of a wide range of samples such as proteins, antibodies, vaccines, nucleic acids, buffers and cell extracts with excellent sample recovery rate.

The EndoTrap® HD resin is especially designed to meet the needs of pharma and biotech industry for the efficient removal of endotoxins in biomanufacturing processes as well as any application that requires highest endotoxin removal rates.

EndoTrap® HD fulfils all requirements for industrial applications, and it can easily be integrated in/at early or late-stage purification processes. Moreover, the High-Definition Matrix is also available for small-scale purification as pre-filled columns.

Endotoxin removal with EndoTrap® HD works effectively in the pH range of 4-9 and NaCl concentrations of 50-600 mM. Buffers such as HEPES, TRIS, MOPS, MES, and PIPES are recommended. Citrate buffers and chelators of divalent cations (like EDTA) have to be avoided

Description:   OCLN Antibody: Tight junctions act as a semi-permeable barrier to the transport of ions, solutes, and water and are considered to function as a fence that divides apical and basolateral domains of plasma membranes. Tight junctions coordinate a variety of signaling and trafficking molecules regulating cell differentiation, proliferation, and polarity and contain a number of junctional proteins including Occludin, Claudins, junctional adhesion molecules (JAMs), as well as multiple scaffold proteins. Occludin, the first identified component of tight junction strands, is thought function as a signal transmitter in multiple signaling pathways and can associate with multiple kinases and phosphatases such as PI3-kinase and protein phosphatases 1 and 2A. At least two isoforms of OCLN are known to exist.
Supplier:  SPEX CERTIPREP LLC
Description:   CLP Standards for ICP & ICP-MS
Our Contract Laboratory Program (CLP) standards allow you to Calibrate with Confidence®. The standards are to be used in conjunction with the Statement of Work for Inorganic Analysis; Multi-Media/Multi-Concentration Document Number ILM 05.3/ISM 01.2.

The final ICP check, performed in our own laboratories, is your stamp of assurance. We calibrate our instruments with traceable reference materials and show you the actual found value of the solution you receive, not just an ideal, calculated number as so many other standards manufacturers do. The combination of elements, concentrations and matrices listed have been diagnosed by SPEX CertiPrep for convenience of use and stability.

US EPA SOW ILM 05.3/ISM 01.2 gives specific procedures for the methods of analysis, target elements, and concentrationlevels. Standards are specified not only by the elements present and their relative concentrations, but also the order and frequency of running standards, blanks and samples. Details of these specifications may be found in the US EPA SOW ILM 05.3/ISM 01.2 in the following sections:

• Exhibit C, Inorganic Target Analyte List (TAL)
• Exhibit D, Analytical Methods
• Exhibit E, QA/QC Requirements

CLP ISM 01.2 and ILM 05.2 & 05.3 Standards for ICP-MS
For verification of inter-element and background correction factors at the beginning and the end of each analysis run. In addition, a verification must be done after every 20th sample. Two solutions are required for the most common interference check: Solution A, the interferents alone (CL-INT-A2) and Solution AB, a combination of interferents (CL-INT-A2) and analytes (CL-INT-B3 or CL-INT-B4). Solution A is prepared by diluting CL-INT-A2 10-fold. Solution AB is prepared by diluting CL-INT-A2 10-fold and CL-INT-B3 or CL- INT-B4 100-fold; for example, 10 ml of CL-INT-A2 and 1 ml of CL-INT-B3 or CL-INT-B4 into a 100 ml volumetric flask, brought to volume with a matrix blank. Once prepared, the solutions should be analyzed consecutively, starting with Solution A.

Description:   Tris have been useful as buffers in a wide variety of biological systems. It has been used as a starting material for polymers, oxazolones (with carboxylic acids) and oxazolidines (with aldehydes). It does not precipitate calcium salts and is of value in maintaining solubility of manganese salts. It can be used for the direct standardization of a strong acid solution; the equivalence point can be determined either potentiometrically or by use of a suitable indicator such as 3-(4-Dimethylamino-1-naphthylazo)-4-methoxybenzenesulfonic acid. It is RNAse and DNAse-free. Tris is relatively non-hygroscopic ; but, if needed, it can be dried at 100 °C for up to 4 hours to remove any water.
Tris is used in pH control in vitro and in vivo for body fluids and in buffering systems for electrophoresis applications.Tris is used in assays used to characterize the activity and kinetics of the enzymes that catalyze SUMOylation of Small ubiquitin-like proteins (SUMO) and SUMO-dependent protein-protein interactions.
