Description:
ATP1A2 (Na+/K+-ATPase α-2 subunit) is the catalytic component of the active enzyme Na+/K+-ATPase, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane. The Na+/K+-ATPase is composed of a larger catalytic α-subunit (~110 kDa) and a small β-subunit (~55 kDa). The α subunit has four isoforms identified to date: α1, α2, α3 and α4.The α1 isoform is expressed ubiquitously but the α2 isoform is present largely in the skeletal muscle, heart and vascular smooth muscle. The α3 isoform is found almost exclusively in neurons and ovaries. The α4 isoform is expressed in sperm. This antibody was raised against the internal region of the human ATP1A2 and can recognizes all the isoforms of α subunit. The 65kDa band detected occasionally may be the degradation product of ATP1A2.

Description:
EphA3 is a member of the Ephrin (Eph) family. The Ephrins and Eph-related receptors comprise the largest subfamily of receptor protein-tyrosine kinases and have been implicated in mediating developmental events, especially in the nervous system and in erythropoiesis. Based on their structures and sequence relationships, ephrins are divided into the Ephrin A (EphA) class, which are anchored to the membrane by a glycosylphosphatidylinositol linkage, and the Ephrin B (EphB) class, which are transmembrane proteins. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats.

Description:
DDX58, also named as RIG-1, belongs to the helicase family. It is involved in innate immune defense against viruses. Upon interaction with intracellular dsRNA produced during viral replication, triggers a transduction cascade involving MAVS/IPS1, which results in the activation of NF-kappa-B, IRF3 and IRF7 and the induction of the expression of antiviral cytokines such as IFN-beta and RANTES (CCL5). Detects dsRNA produced from non-self dsDNA by RNA polymerase III, such as Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs (EBERs). It is essential for the production of interferons in response to RNA viruses including paramyxoviruses, influenza viruses, Japanese encephalitis virus and HCV. The antibody is specific to DDX58.

Description:
LIMP2 Antibody: The lysosomal integral membrane protein 2 (LIMP2) is a heavily glycosylated type III transmembrane protein, the majority of which exists in the lumen of the lysosome and a cytoplasmic domain of approximately 20 amino acids. A deficiency of LIMP2 in mice causes uretic pelvic junction obstruction, deafness, and peripheral neuropathy associated with impaired vesicular trafficking and distribution of apically expressed proteins. More recently, LIMP2 was shown to act as a receptor to bind beta-glucocerebrosidase, the enzyme defective in Gaucher disease, a lysosomal storage disorder. LIMP2-deficient mice showed missorted as well as secreted beta-glucocerebrosidase, suggesting that LIMP2 also functions as the mannose-6-phosphate-independent trafficking receptor.

Description:
Contactin 2 is a neuronal cell adhesion molecule (CAM) that influences the formation of axon connections in the developing nervous system. Contactin 2 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) and contains a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor, six immunogobulin (Ig)-like and four Fibronectin type III (FNIII)-like domains. Contactin 2 is expressed predominantly during neural development on the cell membrane of axons in nerve fiber tracts in order to guide commissural axons without promoting their growth. Contactin 2 binds with NgCAM in the plane of the same membrane (cis-binding). The Contactin 2 heterophilic (Contactin 2/NgCAM and Contactin 2/NrCAM) binding sites are localized to the first four Ig domains. The Contactin 2 homophilic (Contactin 2/Contactin 2) binding site is localized to the FNIII domain.

Description:
ENSA belongs to a highly conserved cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein (ARPP) family. This protein was identified as an endogenous ligand for the sulfonylurea receptor, ABCC8/SUR1. ABCC8 is the regulatory subunit of the ATP-sensitive potassium (KATP) channel, which is located on the plasma membrane of pancreatic beta cells and plays a key role in the control of insulin release from pancreatic beta cells. This protein is thought to be an endogenous regulator of KATP channels. In vitro studies have demonstrated that this protein modulates insulin secretion through the interaction with KATP channel, and this gene has been proposed as a candidate gene for type 2 diabetes.

Description:
Hemangioblast MarkerVascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a major growth factor for endothelial cells. This gene encodes one of the two receptors of the VEGF. This receptor, known as kinase insert domain receptor, is a type III receptor tyrosine kinase. It functions as the main mediator of VEGF-induced endothelial proliferation, survival, migration, tubular morphogenesis and sprouting. The signalling and trafficking of this receptor are regulated by multiple factors, including Rab GTPase, P2Y purine nucleotide receptor, integrin alphaVbeta3, T-cell protein tyrosine phosphatase, etc.. Mutations of this gene are implicated in infantile capillary hemangiomas. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009].

Description:
Autophagy, the process of bulk degradation of cellular proteins through an autophagosomic-lysosomal pathway is important for normal growth control and may be defective in tumor cells. It is involved in the preservation of cellular nutrients under starvation conditions as well as the normal turnover of cytosolic components. This process is negatively regulated by TOR (Target of rapamycin) through phosphorylation of autophagy protein ATG1. ATG14 is a subunit of a class III phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) 3-kinase complex that targets the complex to the endoplasmic reticulum, the site of autophagosome formation.

Description:
NCAM (neural cell adhesion molecule, CD56) is an adhesion glycoprotein with five extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains followed by two fibronectin type III repeats. Structural diversity is introduced by alternative splicing resulting in different cytoplasmic domains. NCAM mediates neuronal attachment, neurite extension and cell-cell interactions through homo and heterophilic interactions. PSA (polysialic acid) post-translationally modifies NCAM and increases the metastatic potential of small cell lung carcinoma, Wilms+ tumor, neuroblastoma and rhabdomyosarcoma. CD56 and CD16 are commonly used to identify NK cells although some cells with the T cell markers CD3 and CD4 also express CD56.
