Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, the first step in most glucose metabolism pathways. Alternative splicing of this gene results in three tissue-specific forms of glucokinase, one found in pancreatic islet beta cells and two found in liver. The protein localizes to the outer membrane of mitochondria. In contrast to other forms of hexokinase, this enzyme is not inhibited by its product glucose-6-phosphate but remains active while glucose is abundant. Mutations in this gene have been associated with non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM), maturity onset diabetes of the young, type 2 (MODY2) and persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia of infancy (PHHI).
Catalog Number: (102980-422)

Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   NAD kinase catalyzes the transfer of a phosphate group from ATP to NAD+ to generate NADP+, which in its reduced form acts as an electron donor for biosynthetic reactions

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   SLC37A4 transports glucose-6-phosphate from the cytoplasm to the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum. It forms a complex with glucose-6-phosphatase which is responsible for glucose production through glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. Hence, it plays a central role in homeostatic regulation of blood glucose levels.

Supplier:  Rockland Immunochemical
Description:   This product has been assayed against 1.0 µg of Sheep IgG in a standard capture ELISA using pNPP p-nitrophenyl phosphate as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   Role of a balanced salt solution in cell culture is multifaceted and can be divided into four principal functions: 1. Serves as an irrigating, transporting and diluting fluid while maintaining intra- and extracellular osmotic balance; 2. Provides cells with water and certain bulk inorganic ions essential for normal cell metabolism; 3. Combined with a carbohydrate, such as glucose, provides the principal energy source for cell metabolism; 4. Provides a buffering system to maintain the medium within the physiological pH range (7.2-7.6)
Supplier:  Anaspec Inc
Description:   Kemptide is a phosphate acceptor peptide that serves as a synthetic substrate for PKA (Km = 16 µM). The corresponding fluorescent and biotinylated peptides are also proven to be good substrates for PKA.
