ALADDIN SCIENTIFIC
Description:
1-(2-Aminophenyl)pyrrole participates in Pt(IV)-catalyzed hydroamination triggered cyclization reaction to yield fused pyrrolo [1,2-a] quinoxalines. It reacts with aromatic or heteroaromatic aldehydes in ethanol and catalytic amounts of acetic acid to yield 4,5-dihydropyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxalines. Thin films of poly(1-(2-aminophenyl)pyrrole) has been prepared via oxidative electropolymerization.1-(2-Aminophenyl)pyrrole was used in the synthesis of 4-substituted pyrrolo[1,2-a]quinoxaline derivatives.

Description:
This gene encodes a mitochondrial protein that is characterized by a poly-proline rich region. A chicken homolog of this protein promotes mitochondrial fission and the mouse homolog protects cells from oxidative stress. A related pseudogene of this gene is found on chromosome X.

Description:
Induces a strong chemotactic response. Induces calcium mobilization. Binds to CXCR6/Bonzo. Also acts as a scavenger receptor on macrophages, which specifically binds to OxLDL (oxidized low density lipoprotein), suggesting that it may be involved in pathophysiology such as atherogenesis.
Supplier:
Adipogen
Description:
Potent stimulator of invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells. Induces strong antitumor immunity through a nitric oxide (NO) and TNF-alpha dependent mechansim, different compared to the IFN-gamma dependent mechanism of alpha-GalCer (AG-CN2-0014). Does not induce anergy of iNKT cells.

Description:
CAPON (carboxy-terminal PDZ ligand of nNOS) selectively binds within the 100 amino acid PDZ domain of the neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS), but not to endothelial NOS or inducible NOS, and sequesters nNOS in the cytosol. Biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter nitric oxide (NO) requires the association of nNOS with various synaptic proteins, including syntrophin, postsynaptic density (PSD)95 and PSD93 through a scaffolding PDZ domain. These proteins facilitate the transport of nNOS to the plasma membrane, where it is catalytically activated by NMDA-receptor mediated calcium channels. The association of nNOS with PSD95 or PSD93 is regulated by CAPON. The carboxy terminus of CAPON binds to the PDZ domain, competes with PSD95 and PSD93 for binding to nNOS and in turn prevents the translocation and catalytic activation of nNOS.
