Description:
ZC3H12A Antibody: ZC3H12A, also known as MCPIP, is an essential member of a family of novel CCCH-zinc finger proteins that regulate macrophage activation and may be involved in host immunity and inflammatory diseases. ZC3H12A has RNase activity that prevents some immune disorders by directly affecting the mRNA stability of interleukins such as IL-6 and IL12p40. Mice lacking the ZC3H12A gene suffered from severe anemia, and most dies within 12 weeks. Overexpression of ZC3H12A causes ER stress and induces a number of genes involved in apoptosis and autophagy, including JNK, PUMA, and beclin-1 in cardiac myoblasts, leading to cell death. ZC3H12A can also induce adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes in the absence of PPAPgamma, demonstrating the complex roles ZC3H12A plays.

Description:
MYST2 belongs to the MYST family, which is characterized by a highly conserved C2HC zinc finger and a putative histone acetyltransferase domain. MYST2 specifically represses AR-mediated transcription. MYST2 is a new AR-interacting protein capable of modulating AR activity. It could play a significant role in regulating AR-dependent genes in normal and prostate cancer cells. The biochemical and genetic interactions of MYST family protein MYST2 with two components of the replication apparatus, MCM2 and ORC1, suggest that MYST2-associated HAT activity may play a direct role in the process of DNA replication. MYST2 is a positive regulatory factor for prereplicative complex assembly.

Description:
LRSAM1 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates monoubiquitination of TSG101 at multiple sites, leading to inactivation of the ability of TSG101 to sort endocytic (EGF receptors) and exocytic (HIV-1 viral proteins) cargos. It selectively regulates cell adhesion molecules and plays a role in receptor endocytosis and viral budding. LRSAM1 contains a RING-type zinc finger, 5 leucine-rich repeats and 1 SAM (sterile alpha motif) domain. The coiled coil domains interact with the SB domain of TSG101. The PTAP motifs mediate the binding to UEV domains. There are 3 isoforms produced by alternative splicing.

Description:
C1orf25, also known as TRM1L (TRMT1-like protein), MST070 or MSTP070, is a 733 amino acid protein that belongs to the TRM1 family of proteins. Expressed in a wide variety of tissues, C1orf25 contains one C2H2-type zinc finger and shares sequence similarity with TRMT1, a tRNA methyltransferase that dimethylates guanine at position 26 of tRNAs. As is suggested by observations of C1orf25-deficient mice, C1orf25 is believed to play a role in exploratory behavior and motor coordination. The gene encoding C1orf25 localizes to chromosome 1 and, due to alternative splicing events, C1orf25 exists as at least two isoforms.

Description:
The TRIAD3 gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein which specifically colocalizes and interacts with the serine/threonine protein kinase, receptor-interacting protein (RIP). Zinc finger domains of the encoded protein are required for its interaction with RIP and for inhibition of TNF- and IL1-induced NF-kappa B activation pathways. The encoded protein may also function as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which accepts ubiquitin from E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes and transfers it to substrates. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described for this locus but the full-length natures of only some are known.

Description:
Histones play a critical role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events. Histone acetylation/deacetylation alters chromosome structure and affects transcription factor access to DNA. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the histone deacetylase/acuc/apha family. It has histone deacetylase activity and represses transcription when tethered to a promoter. It may participate in the regulation of transcription through its binding with the zinc-finger transcription factor YY1. This protein can also down-regulate p53 function and thus modulate cell growth and apoptosis. This gene is regarded as a potential tumor suppressor gene.

Description:
The 2'- 5'- oligoadenylate synthetase (OAS) family is comprised of four members: OAS1, OAS2, OAS3 and OASL. These proteins are induced by interferons and function to convert ATP into 2'- 5'- linked oligomers of adenosine in the presence of double-stranded RNA and magnesium ions. Copper, iron and zinc ions strongly inhibit the OAS enzymatic activity, while manganese ions can replace magnesium ions as an activator. The OAS family plays a significant role in the inhibition of cellular protein synthesis, apoptosis and growth, and its members are important factors in viral infection resistance. OAS3, also referred to as p100, contains three adjacent OAS1-like domains and maps to the human chromosome 12q24.2

Description:
KLHL3 protein contains a poxvirus and zinc finger domain at the N-terminus and six tandem repeats (kelch repeats) at the C-terminus. At the amino acid level, KLHL3 shares 77% similarity with Drosophila kelch and 89% similarity with Mayven (KLHL2), another human kelch homolog. At least three isoforms are produced and may be the result of alternative promoter usage. The KLHL3 maps within the smallest commonly deleted segment in myeloid leukemias characterized by a deletion of 5q; however, no inactivating mutations of KLHL3 could be detected in malignant myeloid disorders with loss of 5q.

Description:
A20 Antibody (A-12) is a high quality monoclonal A20 antibody (also designated TNFAIP3 antibody, or TNF a induced protein 3 antibody). A20 is induced by tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin 1 (IL-1) and acts as a negative regulator of nuclear factor kB (NFkB) gene expression. By inhibiting NFkB activation, A20 plays a critical role in terminating NFkB responses to various stimuli. Although the C-terminal region of A20 contains seven zinc finger domains, only four of these domains are required for in vitro inhibition of TNF-induced NFkB activation. A20 also interacts with several other proteins, such as TRAF2, TRAF6 and IkB kinase (IKK) g protein, and can thereby inhibit cell death. TXBP151, a novel A20-binding protein, may mediate the anti-apoptotic activity of A20. Involved in the negative feedback regulation of signal transduction, A20 and A20-binding proteins may be useful as novel therapeutic tools in the treatment of a variety of diseases.

GATA1 is a Cys2/Cys2 zinc finger DNA binding protein that is expressed primarily in erythroid, megakaryocytic, mast cells and eosinophilic cells. It belongs to the GATA family of transcription factors. GATA1 is a transcriptional activator which probably serves as a general switch factor for erythroid development. It binds to DNA sites with the consensus sequence [AT]GATA[AG] within regulatory regions of globin genes and of other genes expressed in erythroid cells. The protein also plays an important role in erythroid development by regulating the switch from fetal hemoglobin production to adult hemoglobin.
