Description:   Human CD26 is a T cell activation antigen which can be associated with costimulation. The significance of the dipeptidyl peptidase IV activity remains unknown. Characterization of adenosine deaminase binding to CD26 suggests an important immunoregulatory role. Soluble CD26 serum levels are predictive for colorectal cancer.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Nidogen 2 is an adhesion glycoprotein which is widely distributed in basement membranes. Binds to collagens I and IV, to perlecan and to laminin 1. Does not bind fibulins. It probably has a role in cell extracellular matrix interactions.
Catalog Number: (10261-840)

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Nail-patella syndrome (NPS) is an autosomal dominant disorder characterized by dyplasia of finger nails, skeletal anomalies and, frequently, renal disease. NPS is caused by putative loss-of-function mutations in the transcription factor LMX1B. LMX1B belongs to the LIM-homeodomain family, members of which are known to be important for pattern formation during development. Twenty-two novel mutations may occur in the gene encoding LMX1B and the type and distribution of the mutations support the hypothesis that NPS is the result of haploinsufficiency for LMX1B. LMX1B is also necessary for normal development of the eye and in regulating dopaminergic neurogenesis and may be involved in developmental glaucoma and the aetiology of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. Specifically, LMX1B along with LIM1 control the initial trajectory of motor axons in the developing mammalian limb. In addition, LMX1B directly regulates the coordinated expression of alpha 3(IV) and alpha 4(IV) collagen required for normal glomerular basement membrane (GBM) morphogenesis, and the dysregulation of LMX1B in GBM contributes to the renal pathology and nephrosis in NPS.

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Class-IV neuronal intermediate filament that is able to self-assemble. It is involved in the morphogenesis of neurons. It may form an independent structural network without the involvement of other neurofilaments or it may cooperate with NF-L to form the filamentous backbone to which NF-M and NF-H attach to form the cross-bridges.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   SIRT4 is a member of the sirtuin family of proteins, homologs to the yeast Sir2 protein. Members of the sirtuin family are characterized by a sirtuin core domain and grouped into four classes. The functions of human sirtuins have not yet been determined; however, yeast sirtuin proteins are known to regulate epigenetic gene silencing and suppress recombination of rDNA. Studies suggest that the human sirtuins may function as intracellular regulatory proteins with mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase activity. SIRT4 is included in class IV of the sirtuin family. Description:   Discoidin domain receptor-2 (DDR2) is a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor that can be activated by soluble collagen and has been implicated in diverse physiological functions including organism growth and wound repair. DDR2 binds to and is activated by collagen I, II, III, V, and X, with the notable exception of basement membrane collagen IV. DDR2 is expressed in connective tissues arising from embryonic mesoderm. DDR2 regulates cell proliferation, cell adhesion, migration, and extracellular matrix remodeling.
Supplier:  Enzo Life Sciences
Description:   Metallothioneins (MTs) are a class of ubiquitous, low molecular weight, cysteine-rich, metal binding proteins that function in the metabolism of zinc and copper. MT protects against exposure to toxic metals such as mercury and cadmium as well as a variety of other stress conditions. There are four mammalian MT isoforms: MT-I, -II, -III, -IV, each of which is encoded by individual genes. MT expression is induced by heavy metal cations, starvation, elevated temperature, lipopolysaccharide, inflammatory cytokines, free radicals, and ionizing radiation.
