Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   CD6 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 24-amino acid signal sequence, three extracellularscavenger receptor cysteine-rich(SRCR) domains, a membrane-spanning domain and a 44-amino acid cytoplasmic domain. The CD6 glycoprotein is tyrosine phosphorylated during TCR-mediated T cell activation. CD6 shows significant homology to CD5. CD6 is present on mature thymocytes, peripheral T cells and a subset of B cells. Antibodies to CD6 are used to deplete T cells from bone marrow transplants to prevent graft versus host disease.

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   Relaxin-2 is a peptide hormone structurally related to insulin, which is expressed in the placenta, decidua, prostate, and in the ovary during pregnancy. Of the three known relaxin genes, Relaxin-2 is the only relaxin known to circulate in the blood. Relaxin-2 binds specifically to the LGR7 and LGR8 receptors, previously identified as an "orphan” G protein coupled receptors. Signaling by Relaxin-2 through its target receptors enhances the growth of pubic ligaments and ripening of the cervix during birth. Recombinant Relaxin-2 is a nonglycosylated 6.0 kDa disulfide linked heterodimeric protein consisting of a 24 amino acid A-chain and a 29 amino acid B-chain.

Supplier:  Anaspec Inc
Description:   This peptide is amino acids 48 to 57 fragment of TAT with an additional cysteine residue at the N-terminus. This peptide contains the protein transduction domain (PTD) of the HIV Tat protein that inhibits HSV-1 entry. The addition of a cysteine residue to the N-terminus of the Tat-PTD (Tat-C peptide) improves the antiviral activity against HSV-1 and HSV-2. Tat-C acts extracellularly, blocking entry of adsorbed virus immediately without eluting virions.

Description:   Human IL-17A is a homodimer of two 136 amino acid chains, secreted by activated T-cells that act on stromal cells to induce production of proinflammatory and hematopoietic bioactive molecules. Today, IL-17 represents a family of structurally-related cytokines that share a highly conserved C-terminal region but differ from one another in their N-terminal regions and in their distinct biological roles. The six known members of this family, IL-17A through IL-17F, are secreted as homodimers. IL-17A exhibits cross-species bioactivity between human and murine cells. Recombinant human IL-17A is a 31.0 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer of two 136 amino acid polypeptide chains.

Description:   α-Melanotropin, also known as α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), is a 13-amino acid peptide originally characterized as a neuropeptide derived from the pituitary gland. α-MSH is synthesized from pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) by the action of specific prohormone convertases and is involved in the regulation of important physiological functions including food intake, energy homeostasis, modulation of immune responses and photoprotection.

Description:   The leucine-rich (LRR) repeat is a 20-30 amino acid motif that forms a hydrophobic Alpha/Beta horseshoe fold, allowing it to accommodate several leucine residues within a tightly packed core. All LRR repeats contain a variable segment and a highly conserved segment, the latter of which accounts for 11 or 12 residues of the entire LRR motif. LRRTM1 (leucine rich repeat transmembrane neuronal 1) is a 522 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and contains ten LRR repeats. Expressed predominately in forebrain tissue, LRRTM1 is thought to be involved in the development of forebrain structures, specifically by influencing axon trafficking, as well as neuronal differentiation and connectivity. Human LRRTM1 shares 96% amino acid identity with its mouse counterpart, suggesting a conserved role between species. Defects in the gene encoding LRRTM1 may be associated with the pathogenesis of several common neurodevelopmental disorders.
