Catalog Number: (10431-128)

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   Catalyzes the specific attachment of an amino acid to its cognate tRNA in a 2 step reaction: the amino acid (AA) is first activated by ATP to form AA-AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of the tRNA. When secreted, acts as a signaling molecule that induces immune response through the activation of monocyte/macrophages. Catalyzes the synthesis of diadenosine oligophosphate (Ap4A), a signaling molecule involved in the activation of MITF transcriptional activity. Interacts with HIV-1 virus GAG protein, facilitating the selective packaging of tRNA(3)(Lys), the primer for reverse transcription initiation.

Description:   WDR12 is a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. The function of this protein is not known. This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. This protein is highly similar to the mouse WD repeat domain 12 protein at the amino acid level. The function of this protein is not known.

Description:   Cell adhesion molecule-related/down-regulated by oncogenes (CDO) and BOC (brother of CDO) are members of the immunoglobulin/fibronectin type III repeat family and act as cell surface receptors. CDO is a component of a cell-surface receptor complex which also contains BOC, NEO1, CTNNB1 and cadherins and which acts as a mediator of cell-cell interactions between muscle cells. CDO and BOC are single pass membrane proteins that play a role in myogenic cell differentiation. Together, CDO and BOC participate in a positive feedback loop with MyoD, a myogenic transcription factor. The 1,242 amino acid rat CDO protein has a 24 residue signal sequence, five Ig V-like repeats, a 25 residue membrane-spanning region, three FNIII-like repeats and a cytoplasmic region of 256 amino acids containing a proline-rich stretch. The human protein contains 1,225 amino acid residues and shares significant homology with the domain structures of the rat protein.

Description:   Mouse CCL24 is a secreted protein, which is a member of the CC chemokine subfamily. Mouse Ccl24 cDNA encodes a 119 amino acid residue precursor protein, shares approximately 58% amino acid sequence identity with human Ccl24. It is predominantly expressed in the jejunum and spleen and also be induced in the lung by allergen challengeand IL4. Mouse ccl24 has lower chemotactic activity for neutrophils but none for monocytes and activated lymphocytes. Ccl24 is chemotactic for resting T-lymphocytes, eosinophils and can bind to CCR3. LPS and IL4 also differentially regulate the expression of Ccl24 in monocytes and macrophages.
