Description:
L glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function and can be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions. The metabotropic glutamate receptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors that have been divided into 3 groups. Group II receptors include GRM3 and are linked to the inhibition of the cyclic AMP cascade.

Description:
Key component of the cytosolic iron-sulfur protein assembly (CIA) complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates the incorporation of iron-sulfur cluster into apoproteins specifically involved in DNA metabolism and genomic integrity. In the CIA complex, MMS19 acts as an adapter between early-acting CIA components and a subset of cellular target iron-sulfur proteins such as ERCC2/XPD, FANCJ and RTEL1, thereby playing a key role in nucleotide excision repair (NER) and RNA polymerase II (POL II) transcription. As part of the mitotic spindle-associated MMXD complex, plays a role in chromosome segregation, probably by facilitating iron-sulfur cluster assembly into ERCC2/XPD. Indirectly acts as a transcriptional coactivator of estrogen receptor (ER), via its role in iron-sulfur insertion into some component of the TFIIH-machinery.

Description:
ACVR1 Antibody: Activins are dimeric growth and differentiation factors which belong to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. Activins signal through a heteromeric complex of receptor serine kinases which include at least two type I and two type II receptors. Unlike ACVR1B and ACVR1C, ACVR1, also known as activin receptor-like kinase 2 (ALK2), can not transduce activin-mediated signaling, but will transduce BMP and Mullerian inhibiting substance (MIS) group signaling. It is thought that ACVR1 also inhibits activin signaling by blocking the binding of activin to its type II receptor. Recent studies indicate that genetic variation in ACVR1 is associated with polycystic ovary syndrome, suggesting that ACVR1 signaling contributes to disturbed folliculogenesis in these patients.

Description:
DR1, also known as NC2∫ (negative cofactor 2 subunit ∫), is a TFIID (TATA box-binding protein)-associated protein. DR1 localizes to the nucleus and contains an N-terminal histone fold motif, a TFIID-binding domain and an alanine and glutamine rich region. Via its histone fold motif, DR1 forms a heterodimer with NC2å (DRAP1) to comprise the conserved eukaryotic complex, NC2 (negative cofactor 2). The NC2 complex can both positively and negatively regulate transcription by RNA Pol II. More specifically, NC2 acts as a repressor of TATA-dependent transcription and acts as an activator for DPE-dependent transcription. NC2 represses RNA Pol II transcription by binding to TFIID and inhibiting association of the transcription factors TFIIA and TFIIB. NC2 activity is regulated by phosphorylation. Both subunits, NC2å and DR1, are phosphorylated in vivo.

Description:
DPP2 is a serine protease found most abundantly in the lysosome. There is also a non-lysosomal membrane-associated form of DPP2 reported in the rat brain (DPP-II-M), and a soluble form (DPP-II-S). First discovered as an enzyme involved in the terminal steps of protein degradation, and later as an enzyme involved in cell growth and quiescence, DPP2 cleaves N-terminal dipeptides and tripeptides from proteins. DPP2 has a preference for proline in the P1 position, and processes the tripeptides generated by DPP1 (which is unable to cleave if proline is in the P1 position). Some tumor cell lines express elevated DPP2 levels, and serum levels of DPP2 are elevated in some cancer patients, making DPP2 a potential tumor marker. DPP2 levels have been also been reported to be elevated in the cerebral spinal fluid from Parkinson’s patients.

TCEA1 is necessary for efficient RNA polymerase II transcription elongation past template-encoded arresting sites. TCEA1 has a role in suppression of transient pausing, which is the most important contribution of TCEA1 to elongation from a stall position. TCEA1 fuse to PLAG1 protein which is overexpressed in epithelial, myoepithelial, and mesenchymal-like tumor cells in tumors.
