Catalog Number: (10072-760)

Supplier:  Prosci
Description:   GDF-11 is a myostatin-homologous protein that acts as an inhibitor of nerve tissue growth. GDF-11 has been shown to suppress neurogenesis through a myostatin-like pathway, which involves arrest of progenitor cell-cycle in the G1 phase. Similarities between myostatin and GDF-11, which are 90% identical in their amino acid sequence, suggests that the regulatory mechanisms responsible for maintaining proper tissue size during neural and muscular development might be the same. Recombinant human GDF-11 is a 25.0 kDa disulfide-linked homodimer containing two 109 amino acid polypeptide chains. It is highly homologous to myostatin/GDF-8 sharing 90% amino-acid sequence identity.

Description:   Sequence: Fmoc-D-Trp-OH
Supplier:  MP Biomedicals
Description:   Bovine albumin is a single polypeptide chain consisting of approximately 583 to 595 amino acid residues and no carbohydrates. At pH 5-7 it contains 17 intrachain disulfide bridges and 1 sulfhydryl group.
Supplier:  PeproTech, Inc.
Description:   Growth and differentiation factor-associated serum protein-1 (GASP-1) is a secreted inhibitory TGF-β binding protein that contains multiple protease inhibitor structural domains. It is expressed primarily in the ovary, testis, and brain, and can act as a potent soluble inhibitor of myostatin and GDF-11, but not Activin A. The GASP-1 gene encodes a 571 amino acid protein that contains a 29 amino acid secretion signal sequence, and multiple identifiable structural features, including a WAP domain, a follistatin/Kazal domain, an immunoglobulin domain, two tandem Kunitz domains, and a netrin domain. Recombinant Human GASP-1 is a 542 amino acid protein that migrates at an apparent molecular weight of approximately 55-66 kDa by SDS-PAGE analysis under non-reducing conditions. The calculated molecular weight of Recombinant Human GASP-1 is 59.9 kDa.
Supplier:  Bachem Americas
Description:   Sequence: Fmoc-Thr(GalNAc(Ac)₃-α-D)-OH
Supplier:  PeproTech, Inc.
Description:   The Trefoil Factor peptides (TFF1, TFF2 and TFF3) are expressed in the gastrointestinal tract, and appear to play an important role in intestinal mucosal defense and repair. TFF1 is essential for normal differentiation of the antral and pyloric gastric mucosa, and functions as a gastric-specific tumor suppressor gene. Recombinant Human TFF-1 is a 6.7 kDa monomeric protein consisting of a 60 amino acid polypeptide chain, which includes a 40-amino acid trefoil motif containing three conserved intramolecular disulfide bonds.
Supplier:  Bachem Americas
Description:   Sequence: Fmoc-Pro-OH
Catalog Number: (89358-474)

Supplier:  Genetex
Description:   N-myristoyltransferase (NMT) catalyzes the reaction of N-terminal myristoylation of many signaling proteins. It transfers myristic acid from myristoyl coenzyme A to the amino group of a protein's N-terminal glycine residue. Biochemical evidence indicates the presence of several distinct NMTs, varying in apparent molecular weight and /or subcellular distribution. The predicted 498-amino acid of human NMT2 protein shares 77% and 96% sequence identity with human NMT1 and mouse Nmt2 comprise two distinct families of N-myristoyltransferases. [provided by RefSeq]

Supplier:  Bioss
Description:   HGD is a 445 amino acid protein that belongs to the homogentisate dioxygenase family and is involved in the pathway of amino acid degradation. Expressed at high levels in kidney, colon, liver, prostate and small intestine, HGD uses iron as a cofactor to catalyze the oxygen-dependent conversion of homogentisate to 4-maleylacetoacetate, a reaction that is the fourth step in the creation of L-phenylalanine from fumarate and acetoacetic acid. Defects in the gene encoding HGD are the cause of alkaptonuria (AKU), an autosomal recessive disorder that is characterized by urine that turns dark on standing and alkalinization, black ochronotic pigmentation of cartilage and collagenous tissues and spine arthritis.
