Description:
Fibromodulin is a member of a family of small interstitial proteoglycans, containing a central region composed of leucine-rich repeats with 4 keratan sulfate chains flanked by disulfide-bonded terminal domains. It may participate in the assembly of the extracellular matrix as it interacts with type I and type II collagen fibrils and inhibits fibrillogenesis in vitro. It may also regulate TGF-beta activities by sequestering TGF-beta into the extracellular matrix.Fibromodulin is a member of a family of small interstitial proteoglycans, containing a central region composed of leucine-rich repeats with 4 keratan sulfate chains flanked by disulfide-bonded terminal domains. Description:
The assembly and stability of the RNA polymerase II transcription pre-initiation complex on a eukaryotic core promoter involve the effects of TFIIA on the interaction between TATA-binding protein (TBP) and DNA. This gene encodes a germ cell-specific counterpart of the large (alpha/beta) subunit of general transcription factor TFIIA that is able to stabilize the binding of TBP to DNA and may be uniquely important to testis biology.

Description:
This gene encodes acid alpha-glucosidase, which is essential for the degradation of glycogen to glucose in lysosomes. Different forms of acid alpha-glucosidase are obtained by proteolytic processing. Defects in this gene are the cause of glycogen storage disease II, also known as Pompe's disease, which is an autosomal recessive disorder with a broad clinical spectrum. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Description:
Human CD4 is a cell surface glycoprotein of 55kDa expressed on most thymocytes, on about two thirds of peripheral T cells and on some monocyte macrophage lineage cells. CD4 interacts with MHC Class II molecules in an accessory role during foreign antigen recognition by T cells. The extracellular portion of CD4 is an array of four Ig-like domains. The N-terminal region of CD4 is a receptor for the HIV-1 viral protein gp120.

Description:
The HIT2 antibody is specific for human CD38, a 45 kD type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on thymocytes, activated T and B cells, and monocytes as well as other non-hematopoietic cells. CD38 is an ectoenzyme that functions to catalyze the synthesis and hydrolysis of cyclic ADP-ribose and is involved in cell signaling, regulating cell adhesion, and activation. Additionally, CD38 has been shown to be a prognostic marker for some leukemias and other diseases.

Description:
TGF-beta RII is a membrane-bound serine/threonine kinase. Upon ligand binding, TGF-beta RII interacts with TGF-beta RI to form the heteromeric signaling complex that transduces TGF-beta signals. A splice variant of the type II receptor, TGF-beta RIIb, containing a 25 amino acid residue insertion near the N-terminus of the mature protein has also been described.

Description:
CD19 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed at all stages of B cell differentiation except terminally differentiated plasma cells. It is also present on the cell surface of follicular dendritic cells. CD19 associates with CD21, CD81, Leu 13 and/or MHC Class II molecules to form a signal transduction complex on the B cell surface. This signaling complex modulates the activation threshold for the B cell antigen receptor (BCR).
