Catalog Number: (89139-052)

Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   Ethidium Homodimer, first developed by Dr. Le Pecq and his colleagues, is a high-affinity fluorescent nucleic acid stain. It binds to both DNA and RNA in a sequence-independent manner and with a >30-fold fluorescence enhancement. The DNA binding of each Ethidium Homodimer covers four base pairs and is believed to occur by intercalation. Because the dye is highly positively charged, it cannot cross cell membranes to stain living cells. It is useful for detecting nucleic acids in solution, or for selectively staining dead cells with damaged plasma membranes.

Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   Ethidium bromide 1% aqueous solution
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   Acridine orange (AO) stains dsDNA green (525 nm) and RNA or single stranded DNA red (650 nm). The dye is membrane-permeant and its nucleic acid binding property has been used for cell-cycle studies. Acridine orange has also been used for the detection of microorganisms in cerebrospinal fluid and other clinical specimens. We offer a highly purified form of acridine orange while most of the other commercially available grades of AO are either in zinc chloride complex form or of low purity.

Description:   Anti-IgG Donkey Polyclonal Antibody (CFâ„¢ 488A)
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   MTT (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) is a tetrazolium salt that is commonly used to detect reductive metabolism in cells.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   A lectin labeled with our superior fluorescent CF® dyes is an effective and widely used cell surface stain for yeast, fungi, and mammalian cells.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   Viability PCR With PMA and PMAxxâ„¢ dyes
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This product is prepared by labeling highly cross-adsorbed donkey anti-goat IgG (H+L) with CFâ„¢405S. CFâ„¢405S is a blue fluorescent dye with an absorption peak wavelength that nearly coincides with the 405 nm blue diode laser line. In addition, the emission peak wavelength of the dye well centers within the blue detection window of BD flow cytometers. As a result, flow cytometry analysis using CFâ„¢405S dye results in much brighter signal than that using Alexa Fluor® 405. To minimize cross reactivity, the antibody has been adsorbed against chicken, guinea pig, Syrian hamster, horse, human, mouse, rabbit, and rat serum proteins.

Alexa Fluor® is a registered trademark of Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Description:   Cyanine 647-dUTP can be used to synthesize labeled DNA probes for in-situ hybridization, microarray or blotting techniques.
Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This antibody recognizes a 53 kDa protein, which is identified as p53 suppressor gene product. It reacts with the mutant as well as the wild form of p53. Its epitope maps within the N-terminus (aa 37-45) of p53. Monoclonal antibody PAb1801 does not block the binding of DO-7 MAb to p53 in an ELISA test. p53 is a tumor suppressor gene expressed in a wide variety of tissue types and is involved in regulating cell growth, replication, and apoptosis. It binds to MDM2, SV40 T antigen and human papilloma virus E6 protein. Positive nuclear staining with p53 antibody has been reported to be a negative prognostic factor in breast carcinoma, lung carcinoma, colorectal, and urothelial carcinoma. Anti-p53 positivity has also been used to differentiate uterine serous carcinoma from endometrioid carcinoma as well as to detect intratubular germ cell neoplasia. Mutations involving p53 are found in a wide variety of malignant tumors, including breast, ovarian, bladder, colon, lung, and melanoma.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®594 is a deep red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 593/614 nm). It yields the brightest conjugates among spectrally similar dyes, and has excellent photostability.

Supplier:  Biotium
Description:   This antibody recognizes a non-histone protein of 36 kDa, which is identified as proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA). It is also known as cyclin or polymerase delta auxiliary protein. Elevated expression of PCNA/cyclin has been shown in the nucleus during late G1 phase immediately before the onset of DNA synthesis, becoming maximal during S-phase and declining during G2 and M phases. This MAb is excellent for multiple applications.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®647 is a far-red fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 650/665 nm) with excellent brightness. It also is compatible with super-resolution imaging by STORM.

CF® dyes are Biotium's next-generation fluorescent dyes. CF®405S is a blue fluorescent dye (Ex/Em 404/431 nm) with superior brightness compared to other blue dyes; it is also compatible with super-resolution imaging by SIM. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
