Description:   APRIL is a cytokine that belongs to the TNF superfamily and binds to TACI and BCMA. It is implicated in the regulation of tumor cell growth and is involved in monocyte/macrophage-mediated immunological processes. Anti-APRIL (mouse) Monoclonal Antibody (recombinant) (Blocking) (APRY-1-1) is an antibody developed by antibody phage display technology using a human naive antibody gene library. These libraries consist of scFv (single chain fragment variable) composed of VH (variable domain of the human immunoglobulin heavy chain) and VL (variable domain of the human immunoglobulin light chain) connected by a polypeptide linker. The antibody fragments are displayed on the surface of filamentous bacteriophage (M13). This scFv was selected by affinity selection on antigen in a process termed panning. Multiple rounds of panning are performed to enrich for antigen-specific scFv-phage. Monoclonal antibodies are subsequently identified by screening after each round of selection. The selected monoclonal scFv is cloned into an appropriate vector containing a Fc portion of interest and then produced in mammalian cells to generate an IgG like scFv-Fc fusion protein.
Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Selective N- and P/Q-type Ca2+-channel agonist. These Ca2+-channels regulate transmitter release in synapses. Potential lead compound for a variety of disorders that result in neuromuscular weakness.

Description:   Human CD272 (BTLA; B and T Lymphocyte Attenuator) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and has sequence homology to PD-1 and CTLA-4. It is expressed on T and B lymphocytes and other hemopoetic lineages. Engagement of this molecule by its ligand CD270 (HVEM) can downregulate activated T and B cell responses. CD272 levels on antigen specific CD8+ T cells have been reported to decrease in viral specific, but not melanoma specific activated lines. Polymorphism of the CD272 molecule has been linked to rheumatoid arthritis.

Description:   Lymphocyte activation gene 3 (LAG-3; CD223) plays an important role in negatively regulating T cell proliferation, function and homeostasis. It is required for maximal natural and induced regulatory T cell (Treg) function. LAG-3 is closely related to the T cell co-receptor CD4 and binds to MHC class II molecules but with a significantly higher affinity than CD4.

Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   The inducible costimulator CD278 (ICOS) is similar to human CD28 (24% homology), and plays an analogous role in the T cell activation process. Signaling through CD278 is particularly important in progression of TH2 immune response. The receptor for human CD278 (ICOS) is CD275 (GL50), a member of the B7 family sharing ~20% homology with CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2). Blockade of the CD278-CD275 interaction in mice improves allograft survival and reduces EAE.

Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Resorcylic acid lactone. Mycotoxin. Regulator of fungal morphogenesis. Mycoestrogen with anabolic and uterotrophic activity. Ecdysteroid antagonist. Gonadotropin inhibitor. Interleukin antagonist. Apoptosis inducer. Analytical standard in food industry.
Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   TRAIL-R1 is a receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TRAIL. The adapter molecule FADD recruits caspase-8 to the activated receptor. The resulting death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation which initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis. Promotes the activation of NF-kappaB.
Supplier:  Adipogen
Description:   Substrate for monitoring the activity of cytochrome P450 in diverse cells and research issues, including in vitro cytotxity testing, regulation and drug metabolization.
