Description:
IL-24 is a cytokine belonging to the IL-10 family of cytokines that signals through two heterodimeric receptors: IL-20R1/IL-20R2 and IL-22R1/IL-20R2. This interleukin is also known as melanoma differentiation-associated 7 (mda-7) due to its discovery as a tumour suppressing protein. IL-24 appears to control cell survival and proliferation by inducing rapid activation of particular transcription factors called STAT1 and STAT3. It is predominantly released by activated monocytes, macrophages and T helper 2 (Th2) cells and acts on non-haematopoietic tissues such as skin, lung and reproductive tissues. IL-24 performs important roles in wound healing, psoriasis and cancer. IL-24 has antiproliferative properties is inhibiting angiogenesis and may contribute to terminal cell differentiation.

Description:
RANKL is an osteoclast differentiation and activation factor. Augments the ability of dendritic cells to stimulate naive T cell proliferation. Important regulator of interactions between T cells and dendritic cells and may play a role in the regulation of the T cell-dependent immune response. RANKL plays an important role in the progression of Breast cancer.

Description:
Giantin, the largest Golgi membrane protein, is C-terminally anchored to cis- and medial-Golgi membranes and forms a long ~250nm coiled-coil rod that directly interacts with microtubules in a cell-cycle regulated way. It is an excellent marker for mammalian golgi complex. It is also an antigen in chronic rheumatoid arthritis and in the autoimmune disease Sjoegren syndrome.

Description:
GITR (Glucocorticoid-induced TNF receptor) is the receptor for TNFSF18. It is involved in interactions between activated T-lymphocytes and endothelial cells and in the regulation of T cell receptor-mediated cell death. GITR serves as a negative regulator for NK cell activation. It mediates NF-kappaB activation via the TRAF2/NIK pathway.

Description:
Fluorogenic tri-peptide substrate for measuring the trypsin-like peptidase activity of the 20S proteasome. Substrate for the Kex2 endopeptidase from S. Cervisiae, which has substrate specificity toward the C-terminal side of LR, PR and RR sequences. Can be cleaved by Kallikrein 5 with a P1 site preference for basic residues (R and K). Excitation: 380nm. Emission: 460nm. This substrate is useful for inhibitor screening and kinetic analysis.

Description:
Ca2+-indicator fluo-3 for use with visible-light excitation sources in flow cytometry and confocal laser-scanning microscopy. Since about 1996, fluo-3 has also been extensively used in cell-based high-throughput screening assays for drug discovery. Fluo-3 AM is essentially nonfluorescent until it is hydrolyzed intracellularly and/or in the presence of Ca2+. The green-fluorescent emission (~525 nm) of Ca2+-bound fluo-3 is conventionally detected using optical filter sets designed for fluorescein (FITC). As prepared by Minta, Kao and Tsien, fluo-3 was originally reported to undergo an ~40-fold increase in fluorescence upon binding Ca2+.

Description:
The NS3 serine protease, in association with NS4A, is responsible for the cleavages of the Hepatitis C virus protease complexes NS3-NS4A, NS4A-NS4B, NS4B-NS5A and NS5A-NS5B. NS5B is a RNA-dependent RNA polymerase that plays an essential role in the virus replication. Hepatitis C virus protease NS3-NS4A colocalizes with IPS-1/VISA/MAVS/Cardif in the mitochondrial membrane and has been shown to cleave the TLR3 adapter TRIF and Cardif to eliminate the antiviral signaling pathways. NS3-NS4A represents an important target for anti-HCV drugs.

Description:
Dectin-1 and dectin-2 are type II transmembrane proteins of the C-type lectin family. They contain single carbohydrate recognition domains (CRDs) in their extracellular region. Dectin-1 and dectin-2 are expressed in macrophages and dendritic cells. Dectin-1 recognizes beta-glucans with its CRD and signals through its immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM)-like motif in the cytoplasmic domain, whereas dectin-2 recognizes alpha-mannans and transduces its signal through association with the ITAM-containing Fc receptor gamma-chain.

Description:
Human CD45 is expressed on all cells of hematopoietic origin, except erythrocytes. CD45 is a transmembrane tyrosine phosphatase which can exist in at least nine different isoforms resulting from tissue-specific alternative RNA splicing of exons 4-7 of a single gene coding for the various N-terminal peptide segments. CD45 plays an essential role in lymphocyte activation.

Neutrophils are key components of the inflammatory response and as such contribute to the killing of microorganisms. In addition, recent evidence suggests their involvement in the development of the immune response. The Nimp-R14 mAb displays features of an optimal reagent allowing the selective depletion of mouse neutrophils in vivo.
